Currently shopping for a dirt bike and have around 6k saved, 5'10 165 pounds, live in Arizona so I can find plenty of trails. Only riding experience I have is learning on a KX100 used for enduro and general trail fuckery and bought a crf250r before it blew up. Should have replaced the oil control rings as my buddy told me but live and learn. Both bikes are across the country so those are off the table.I can also fabricate custom parts such as racks, bash plates, crash guards so if any mods need to be made then so be it.I have learned clutch control and can hit small jumps but haven't learned to pop wheelies, whips, or any crazy shit. I can manage a 250 just fine but I am rusty as I haven't ridden in almost 2 years. I will mainly do trail riding with some occasional high speed riding. Here are my options:>Buddy who lives in SoCal 5 hours away is selling a 2018 FX350 with low engine hours for $5k since he can't ride anymore after a crash. My main concern is the rebuild costs and intervals.>Go on facebook marketplace and find a 250 in good shape with some money left over for mods, repairs and tools>buy a new klx230r from a dealership but risk getting raped with taxes and fees tacked onWhat do you guys think?
