>>267440If prior head trauma had created a brain bleed then getting hit sufficiently hard enough again can cause a cascade of brain injury that ends in vegetable or death. This has happened a few times over the years in boxing. It probably has to do with the repeated head trauma guaranteed by the ruleset. I.e. when a guy gets dropped you can't go to ground and finish him off, he gets a chance to stand back up and continue getting punched in the face.
