>ruins the industry forever by popularizing sequel slop
>>151853604https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4h81EAnTdwchttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CjI0TdvVbqIWild that Disney had a number of shows that clearly aimed at boys, but could be enjoyed by everyone. They really need to let action shows cook again.
>>151863739>>151877529Lucas always planned to tell more. He originally made ANH one standalone film because he was deathly afraid it'd bomb, in fact Indiana Jones came about when he alongside Spielberg were on vacation in Hawaii because Lucas expected the film to bomb. But he always wanted to tell more, he didn't so much capitalize on Star Wars as he had ideas for what eventually became ESB and RotJ during ANH's production and then by RotJ's production he already had parts of the PT completely planned out. The concept of both the OT and PT were already conceived by 1975 when Dean Foster, author of the ANH novelization, got direct confirmation by Lucas. That's why the novel has details like Palpatine being the Emperor's name (although back then he was a puppet for other officials rather than the pure evil Sith he came to be, obviously nothing was set in stone with Sheev before ESB). By 1981, Lucas gave an interview to Paul Duncan where he practically had the entirety of RotS' main plotline laid out: Palpatine (who he confirms is a stand-in for Nixon pretty much) subverts Anakin Skywalker while the Jedi are away fighting at war. He betrays the Jedi and Luke's mother realizes something is wrong, Obi-Wan comes in and throws Anakin down a volcano where the Emperor's troops fish him out of and turn him into Vader. The Republic is also corrupted into the Empire. So as early as ESB Lucas had the PT planned out

>>151880712Ian didn't write that, Caleb Goellner did. The author of Ghost Cage. He's a guest writer who sometimes shows up on Annuals, and that one TSR oneshot which was noticeably better written than the main IDW books as well.Ian's never been good at writing, he's only been passable at his best and carried hard by Tracey Yardley's art.
>>151880712Okay, so one, as anon said, Ian didn't write the story you're pointing at.Two, this is very different from the bit in Drogune I'm talking about. It's a sequence where the key point of what happened is still said shortly after in the ending, but the comic expects you to follow the action scene and go back and re-read if you didn't catch it the first time. That's the key: Ian NEVER respects readers enough to leave it up to them to reread stuff in Sonic anymore. Being willing to let some readers be lost if they didn't understand or weren't paying attention instantly makes for a better read.
>>151880745>Ian's never been good at writing,Not true. He's written good stories.>>151880745>carried hard by... artThis part is true, though. He's collabed with a lot of excellent artists who help address the holes in his scripts.

>>151880836Anon they bonded all season, and then one kiss made her not love him anymore? Cake even confirmed that there was nothing wrong with the kiss. Cake was just expecting romantic movie level sparks which is a classic woman moment.
>>151880775Gary and Marshall are wearing different clothes. You can hear the tail end of their conversation implying they're already in the middle of cleaning or fixing up the sweet spot. We don't know how long it's been since their last conversation but it's definitely been more than a day>Media literacy really has dropped off a cliffI think you need to stop letting your emotions blind you to what's happening on screen just so your anger feels validated
>>151880790Those are very blatantly shoved in the audience face. It's not hard to pick up on them. Just because people are too caught up in being angry at a fictional character to actually take see them says a lot more about those people than anyone else
>>151880775Not that anon but I feel it's worth saying that she was not expressly forgiven. Gary very directly says that she has not made up for what she did in that scene Not actively being angry at or hating someone for something they did that has hurt you is not the same as forgiving them. You can still be upset at someone, but find level ground and peace with them, even if they have not made up for what they did. This is very common in family fights. My parents have done tons of shit that I have not forgiven them for, but I still love them, I still called them for Christmas. Both of these things can coexist.
>>151880774>Grew up together >Young Fionna was basically saving herself for Gary>Convinced by like elementary school she'd be Gary's wife. >Gary mostly just treats it like a school girl crush that Fionna will get over when they're older.>Pursues him hard in middle school to show she's serious >Gary finally breaks down and outright tells her he's uninterested in both her and women period.>Fionna has a weird, listless period over it until they eventually reconcile. >If Gary had given her the greenlight all those years ago, she would have jumped his bones, had his babies and been his loving wife without hesitation.dang
We need a Scott Pilgrim Christmas special
>>151877144Eh... Someone so slutty as Ramona shouldn't be in a church on Christmas. I don't see what the movie would even be about. As Scott Pilgrim is a very contained story that wraps up loose ends.

It's Christmas day boys and girls, so unplug the ticket machine, put down your spatulas and knives, and get ready for a Very Hello Birdman Christmas Special
If I was a chef I'd be angry too. Cooking is for the birds
>>151878799Thank you! I do now, thanks for reading
>>151879384Aw it's not so bad
>>151879563Nice
What went wrong?
>>151878584Aside from the many obvious things, the biggest issue with something like this is that it is too cynical. People don't want to watch Christmas specials that are mean spirited and cynical. Modern day Christmas specials refuse to be for a lack of a better word, "wholesome". It's why people still watch all of the specials that are decades old.
>>151880159>Aside from the many obvious thingsSuch as?

What was /co/ like when the first LoK episode first came out?
>>151878727
If you're curious, here's a thread of when the first season finale was airing: https://desuarchive.org/co/thread/38034615And here's a sticky it got shortly after: https://desuarchive.org/co/chunk/38043775
>"What was /co/ like when the first LoK episode first came out?">Muh /pol/Unironically obsessed. That aside, people were generally positive at first. It wasn't until much later in the season that people started to sour on the show.
>>151873532I turned then. Season 1 finale destroyed the show’s whole struggle and I turned off and didn’t look back. All I heard after confirmed it was the right thing to do, I don’t even fap to the porn, and I still spank it to Marceline.
>>151880928Korra porn is shit anyways. The lesbian finale transformed half of it into futashit, and the rest is traced IRL porn.
Mr. Incredible is so lucky
Voyd is an interesting case. While she's a Super, she also submits immediately and eager to Helen Parr (and by extension, the entire family). For her hyper-loyalty, Voyd is rewarded by being the harem head. First among the lesbian pets. She also is quite happy to bed Dash.
>>151879524>>151879012>>151879088no one cares what women think
>>151879424The hypnotic vixen tries to use her powers on Violet and Dash, but they outwit her by confronting her when she's in her civilian identity. Then it's just a matter of timing the joint-seduction, Dash going for the back and Violet going for a front. They exhaust the villainess for hours on end, extracting a pledge of eternal submission from her in exchange for endless pleasure.
>>151879680Evelyn Deavor is offered a simple deal in prison by Helen. Become her obedient lesbian sex-slave, and she'll be released. Then they have sex in the prison cell, and Evelyn accepts the offer several hours later.
>>151879195It secretly did.
Thoughts?
Did it really do good enough to warrant a sequel?
>>151880414cum in PAL, cover PAL in cum.
>>151880414It was a fun movie with a solid script and great animation. Nothing revolutionary but very high quality.
>>151880495Mitchells vs Machines has some cringe humour, but the emotional arcs and the climax when they're facing off against PAL's army are really well-executed. It's a good film, just not one that'll appeal to a broader audience like, say, Incrediblse.

But I get that's still pushing it, I do like other actual boys in the show he's just my favorite lol>picrel insanely hot though, I love this ship so much.
