One says it’s from Maya/3dsMax, another says they used Unreal Engine for rendering and background, the CGIworld says they used Blender to render the scene.1) There’s no consistency between the articles or blog.2) Two years pass which means the methods used is now outdated and the use of Blender could have been scrapped.3) Photos do not show, lighting, controller, non-texture character and animation work. This doesn’t confirm anything, the video had animation, lighting, animation and other visual effects. Blender might not have been used for rendering.4) Unconfirmed if students were the creators of the characters you see or if they were voice actors. No article explaining who created who.5) Guy said he hated Blender in the interview but can’t confirm because the writers did an awful job and skipped yo the next topic.Learn to read Japanese dumbass.

>>10189201. guy said he hated Maya I believe but I can't confirm either 2. He uses blender 3. Blogs don't aligning with your distorted reality is not everyone elses problem except yours. 4. You can clearly see the software being used in screenshots, it's blender 5. 2 years in a production it's nothing and you don't scrap everything just because...6. Maya isn't shown or mentioned in any place , you are the only one who mentions it.7. Deal with reality
>>1018944If you were old enough like us you know that Maya wasn’t the number one priority. Softimage was the best, it got brought out by Autodesk soon after and better animation tool features were in Maya while slowly killing Softimage. After 30 years Blender only cared about themselves and profit. Other projects like Substance, houdini, Wings3D, Metasequoia and others gotten better. Blender is behind the game not close to Wings3D or other pet projects you find in Github.
>>10189451) If you can’t confirmed it either then you also agreed with my statement on Journalism’s awful handling of the interview.2) Unanswered on how it was used, no article discussing it.3) Dear Zoomers, writing is an art and letting ChatGPT do your art makes you the biggest loser. If someone is bad at writing they are bad at writing. If journalism allowed anyone to write anything they believe so they or someone else can benefit then it’s not journalism.4) It’s there in screenshots yes but you left out stuff like controllers (aka the lines you used to move said character). It’s weirdly perfect compared to actual work we do when it doesn’t apply normals, lighting, polygons structure, etc. Could guy just hidden the whole thing and use viewpoint to render the character, yes. Did he do that for the entire project, no. Why did he hide it, we don’t know because of bad journalism.5) Sony’s Concor did, Valve Corp HL3 did, Blender themselves give up video and game engine development, your argument is invalid.6) If you can’t read Japanese then why are you arguing about it.7) see- >>1018955
The biggest trick these companies pull is to make you believe that you need them. There is a reason, that products like Softimage died, they were too robust when it comes to user interface, Maya/Max/etc kept improving every release, meanwhile the only thing softimage added was new toys and that too in a isolated mode. And people were happy. Products like Maya/Houdini are intentionally hard to learn because then you are locked to their user interface. Windows gives free license to schools, Maya does the same. Then comes the propaganda that you don't need pencil/paper skills if you go digital, locking you again.Everything you do with pencil/paper translates directly to digital. The tools doesn't matter if all you need to do is trace your ideas from paper to digital even a trained monkey can do it. What's funny is that Autodesk wouldn't be as big as it is now, if not for artists making actual good stuff with it. >The things you own ends up owning you.Carmack said: Typing has never been the bottleneck for my programming process, it's my brain. The same goes for being a better artist, how you trace your imagination using a tool should not be a bottleneck if that happens then it says more about your imagination than the tool itself.
>>1018958There’s a clear difference between rocks you find in the ground to draw, a pencil that was man made for humans and digital build for handling harder task.A rock can’t undo drawings and it’s susceptible to getting destroyed more easily by other elements.Pencil/brush lacks unlimited uses, some even require more high quality materials to allow painting.Digital only is good enough if you can pay the bills or find ways to get free electricity. Otherwise you are losing everything for nothing.See how stupid your ChatGPT made you look.

There's screenshots, end of discussion. Deal with reality 5. Again ramblings of insanity, first it's concord and they didn't stop production whatsoever, the game was finished but they didn't had enough people to make it work, that has nothing to do with what we're talking.6.
