by means of considering the reality of a motion, being loop or a sequence, How do one, best approach, timing, spacing(mostly spacing, here), to create the most convincing animation? I mean, spacing are, very simple
(pardon my, expectation) so it's about, say, in 2d, putting those lineart out in, the right coordinate? Like, how would you describe so that, legs in, walk, run, trot, Legs(like, quadrupeds) are touching its previous coordinates, but also, not Jittering, shaking, ChOKED(like dramatically, between start-end frame), in say, mathematic?
>additionally
>..no wait that was the choke.

Read the animator's survival kit

which page? i got one. The book feels like a biography, huge letters, scene-specifics... man, it's crazy. Worst investment of my life, if there's nothing else worse. Or maybe just not modern
>>
>>1020318
The whole thing. If you start from the beginning you'll even find the early bit where a whole generation became shitty animators and draftsmen by dismissing earlier knowledge as not modern

...Ok you need to point the page fr. actually, please point to other book. I dont recall him being any technical other than nicely keeping his inbetweener from doign all his job between fram 1 to 100. I mean, he was a producer wasnt he? Lots of awe for milt, cartoons, caricatures, but...i dont know. it doesnt work digitally nor in 3d, and i am.... a little bit compromising for procedural things. for the occassion especially. RIP richard i g.

Thebother anon os correct that there is a massive body of knowledge regarding animation that you should digest at least a little bit. Read/watch explenations of the principles of animation.

To your question,
Then i make a walk cycle it is helpful to me, in the first frame to stick one leg out as far as it's going to go and one leg back as far as it's going to go. This is also the point in the cycle where the pelvis is at it's lowest position. Then i skip the the middle frame, i key the forward foot where it is so it stays still, then i move the root forward until it is as far in front of the forward foot as the previous back foot. Then i move the back foot forward ahead of the root as far as i want thay to go. I repeat the process again and i get an animation like the character is scooting their feet on the ground convincingly. Then i <draw the rest of the owl> to make the cycle look correct. My final animation involved the whole character moving forward. If i need to for some reason, make the character root stationary while preserving the relative positions of all the IKs my solution is to have a master controller which is the larent of all the controllers, including the feet and the root of the character. I make that controller move backwards with identical values and curves at the root controller, but in reverse. The root still bobs uo and down, the feet still.move back and forth, like they're walking on a treadmill.
Ok last part, if i have ti make sure my last frame and first frame sync up perfectly, now i can "ghost" the controllers(or onion skin) to make sure the posution everything is in on the last frame is exactly the same position as the first frame. Finally, when youre exporting or using this animation, omitt the last frame. Because it is identical to the first frame it will cause a 1 frame pause every loop.

When i need to export animations, its for use in unity, and unity has import tools for lining up the end frames of loops, and subtracting the forward movement of characters in walk cycle animations. Double check your use case before you go and do 10x as much work as you need to.

Now I can attest to it that the book and it's fans are not mathematically structured nor scientifically. Unfortunately I just need it written in dynamic algorythms.

You're just fishing for excuses to not improve your craft

>Books for really traditional method
You are good with words and that's retardedly annoying. But it s also not showing your intelligence whatsoever. Fuck off to the library or pyw. Clearly you ve enjoyed being referred by anyone and me but that's not helping clearly nor clear

You are free to prove otherwise of course but that's also to your advantage being such a moron
