What makes Blender renders so instantly recognizable?
>>1024859Eevee, cycles slop looks all the same pajeetery. Arnold has more SOVL, your stuff will look infinitely better in Maya and C4D
>>1024859I keep mistaking maya renders for blender.
>>1024859People don’t know how individual lights on certain models work. Blender people never learn such tricks and such it’s always easier to spot.

>>1024859i think i know why, a problem i've seen way, way too many times, usually when people try to get into 3d without any 2d or drawing knowledge, they ask if you can learn 3d without knowing how to draw, and the answer they get is always yes.so they follow couple of tutorials and learn the software enough to make something good out of good references, but eventually find out that they can't actually make anything original or too complex on their own.you don't need to know how to draw, but you do need the fundamentals that usually comes with it, like shape and form, perspective, color theory, anatomy, etc.so they then either drop 3d altogether, or just try to work with what they know and make a render that looks good with the default settings.using blender makes this obvious cause it's free, you don't have to force yourself to learn the right way to do these things if you didn't spend any money.

>>1025006Survivorship bias, basically you're noticing the blender renders that you're able to notice, not all the blender renders
