Painting with stencils allows you to use textures generated by an algorithm to quickly photobash your models. Here, a tutorial will be shown on how to do this from the basics.

>>999430This is a nice tutorial, or even 2 tutorials in 1, but I believe primitives have perfect premade unwrap (and it's even visible on previous screenshot). Worth adding in future, that you actually don't have to do this to built-in primitives, only to custom modeled geometry.
>>999468No wonder it was already there when I entered the UV editor. I didn’t know that. Anyway, I wanted to document the whole process using the simplest figure, the cube.
Ok now remove the texture seams.
>>999495You could probably just inpaint that in whatever local diffusion crap is popular now.
I'm going to make another tutorial but now with a low poly head.
We start with a meshIn this case a low poly headIf you want the step by step tut to model this just tell me.

>>999421i really like this tutorial format of written instructions on top of screenshots, rather than videos that i have to constantly pause.is there an archive of tutorials like this?
>>1001019Yes, I’m 37 years old, so when I was young, the internet was too slow and expensive to have online videos.Back then, tutorials were like this, a sequence of images and text. But they were always incomplete or skipped details, so since I have OCD, when I take notes, I do it this way I document everything in the form of screenshots and text. I've been doing it for a long time. And now with ChatGPT, I can write the instructions in Spanish, since that's my main language, and instantly translate them to English, even improved with better organization. And yes, the advantage is that if you make them clearly, they’re better than a video because you can pause and analyze each step, and you can skip the rest.I’ve been thinking about creating a Discord and posting them all there.
cool

>>1006894Only someone with their head firmly lodged in their own ass would fail to grasp that explaining a technique takes longer than using it. But I admire your dedication to being publicly wrong
>>1006923>writing a couple of lines on an image is hard work guys
>>1006945HAHAAHAHAH!Who the hell said it was hard work you imbecile? You can't even grasp the difference between something tedious and difficult. How dare I spend time on something meticulous without your approval?

>>999421> Painting with stencils allows you to use textures generated by an algorithm to quickly photobash your models. It also allows you to use any kind of ripped/copyrighted/illegal textures without any repercussions because the end result will be beyond derivative, especially if you use multiple different textures or you mostly use areas of big texture as individual strokes. Maybe it doesn't work equally well for everything, but it sure works nice for stuff like wood, metals, stones, etc. You can just overpaint the same area with different portions of wood texture with like alpha 0.1-0.3 and it will look like a completely different texture. Not sure what to do with PBR stuff though, if there is a way for roughness/normal to automatically follow whatever you do with base color using stencils, it would work amazingly well.
>>1001036I would pay for tutorials like this, is it possible for you to do more like this in a future? Do you have a channel or social media I can follow?
>>1010132I don’t currently have a channel or social media where I share this kind of content, but I’ve definitely been thinking about starting one. Where do you think would be the best place to host these types of tutorials?I have a couple of thread in the archives, Exploring Topology in 3D Art: Practice Exercises Threadhttps://warosu.org/3/thread/966562Blender Node Wrangler: A Quick Guidehttps://warosu.org/3/thread/995971

>>1010630Can you do one of how to do quadraped topology?
>>1010669But what do you need, anon? Do you want a step-by-step sequence on how to model a four-legged body? You're already seeing the loops right there in the image—how hard can it be to follow that if you’re looking at it and can even use it as a background reference? What’s the point of a tutorial if you’re already seeing it? I’m not OP and I’ve never modeled a four-legged body, but if you already have the map, how hard can it be?
thanksplease make a youtube or socials to access ur tutorials easily anywhere

>>1006923>>1007021Dont mind him. The anon you are replying to (>>1006894 >>1006945) is either a retard, troll or both.>>999421Good tutorials, OP.Also, as some other anons suggested, a social media platform/dedicated webpage could be useful, so that this content doesnt disappear and can reach more people than the 10-20 people that browse /3/ :DJust an idea to think about. Thanks for the efforts!
