In hindsight, I think the Yumigahama fight was really the point of no return. The first instance of an actually hyped villain having a completely pathetic showing. Followed up by Lu Tian, Lolong, the entire clusterfuck that is the Wu, and so on.I feel like a lot of Omega's sins could be forgiven if only the villains were allowed to actually be put over, or whatever the wrestling term is.

Even if you give Sandro the ultimate benefit of the doubt by assuming that Himuro was lying to Agito about his strength specifically to get him onboard for the matches AND you buy into Yumigahama being a villain, the actual fight was horrible and Misasa is a paper cutout of a fighter. Just miserable all around, humiliation ritual. You'd have to really, really hate Yumigahama to enjoy that fight.
