Well, for the longest time, it was her only sword.
However, it is a sword made by the greatest weaponsmith of all time, Yulian Jalisco, so the weapon itself is good, and there's nothing wrong with it by itself.
Almost all good swords in this story are made by that guy.
Only few swords like the Dragonblade or the Gravity Sword of the North God surpass those swords, and the last one might even be another work by that swordsmith, but I'm not sure.

Ruijerd is not important to Orsted he is important to Hitogami who uses Rudeus to get him to central continent.
There Ruijerd meets Badigadi in the academy when he brings Aisha and Norn by ‘accident’ haha and then Badigadi tells him where the other surviving superds are located. You might’ve noticed they left at the same time in the anime.
Hito basically engineers this and has Ruijerd meet up with the surviving Superds so he can wipe them all out in one fell swoop.
Of course due to how things developed later on this is also used to set up a certain trap and hostage situation but you wouldn’t understand right now this is late game MT lore.

I'm a novel reader. Ruijerd is technically still important due to Luicelia, though I guess you could argue she isn't really a key player when you count every other Rudy descendant and Orsted could go without her. Besides that the amount of coincidences that get piled on early in that arc always irked me. Even with the fate stuff, a lot of other stuff could be reasonably be explained and weren't just piled up coincidences. For example, Rudeus meeting Orsted in volume 6 makes reasonable sense. From what I remember, there is only one passage that people use that is actually safe to cross due to the red wyrms. Rudeus happens to meet Orsted there. Why would Orsted be there and not just crossing into some sort of shortcut that only he can go through like he was in volume 2? Well, Nanahoshi is right there and gives you all the reason needed.
Sure, the timing is convenient, but that fits the theme of the turning points.
But for that early arc it's all just piled up back to back all in one and later explanations make it worse not better (like the sword, Ruijerd stuff, etc.). The amount of them is just too much and has no thematic explanation like the TPs have besides muh fate.

The sword that Eris got from Roxy's father is nice, but it's nothing too special.
The yulian swords that the sword god collected, now those are special.

Not really. Volume 16 can probably be crammed into 2-3 episodes and not even feel rushed at all. The only events that happen in Volume 16 are:

>another Orsted meeting setting up the library labyrinth
>the actual Library Labyrinth
>Talking to Perugius and getting his support

Combine the first three Orsted meetings into one, and have Orsted give Rudeus the summoning scroll for Leo in the first one while Eris is present, cut out all of the waffling and just go straight to Rudeus joining Ariel right after discussing it with Sylphie. Then talk to Ariel, cut to the entrance at the teleportation circle to the Library Labyrinth (with that Orsted meeting being offscreen) and do the Library Labyrinth, have the Perugius approving of Ariel meeting, and then do training and discussion over a montage, and do Ghislaine and Elinalise's reunion as like a post credits scene. Assuming they have 12 episodes now they've got five episodes for the majority of Volume 15 and 5 episodes for Volume 17. Volume 16 was basically filler to begin with, since Volume 15 was running long and Volume 17 would've been too long if they'd included the Leo summoning and the Perugius bits in it.

The first half of Season 2 is definitely a lot better when you're not waiting week after week for a new episode. Things do happen but it's much slower paced than Season 1, and because the obvious "next thing" to happen is always "Rudeus finding out Fitz is Sylphie" but that just never happens, so it makes things feel so much slower.

There was no real objective from episodes 1 through 8 in the first season and nothing in the last two episodes either because the actual grand objective of "travelling back home" was completed in between episode 21 and 22 as episode 22 starts with Eris and Rudeus reaching Roa

Because you need to train your magic before you become 10 years old in order to increase your mana pool size and Rudeus' way to create figurines requires a huge amount of magic and time.
You don't want to invest years and years of teaching someone in such a specialized field just for them to go "It's too hard, I'm quitting" or "I'm getting married, and she said I need a better job" or "Thanks you master for your teachings, I'm opening an own figurine making company now".
Yeah there are alternatives but you would get a different story.

The Shirone civil war arc, been a year or so since I read all the LN's but that part is still vivid to me. Wish we got more of it. So much good stuff in it. Zanoba getting to not be comic relief, Pax and Benedikte, and of course Randolph. Only wish it had Rudy reflect a bit more on his own similarity to Pax, since he is basically just a bit more of a fucked up version of pre-isekai Rudy. Of course at that point in the LN's Rudy has gone full normalfag and forgotten where he came from.

They’re all pretty good. I wouldn’t say any arc starting from S3 is lower than 8/10. Like genuinely I can’t name an arc I would say is somehow bad. I’m looking forward to practically everything though for me it’s Vol 15 followed closely by Volume 21 for personal reasons of hitting hard emotionally and then of course the final Biheiril kingdom volumes for that eye candy in the anime. In fact I think the anime version of the last few volumes might even surpass the original depending on the animation quality.
I’m kinda looking forward to S5 a lot too.
