Picked up the first volume of this recently, looks really cosy and fun, plus dinosaurs are frickin' sick. Thoughts, feelings, opinions?

If they do it like Jurassic Park and we get to see a bunch of cute anime girls fighting for their lives and getting chomped by dinosaurs then it sounds pretty cool
Otherwise meh

I'm tired of this.
There is no evidence that T-rex had feathers.

We know that some tyrannosauroids like Yutyrannus had feathers. It's a perfectly valid interpretation for T.Rex

You'd be surprised how many times I've said "There is no such thing as a boy who doesn't like dinosaurs" and was met with quiet acceptance and thoughtful nods. Usually followed by a pleasant conversation of which was everyone's favorite dino.

I like it. I played a lot of Zoo Tycoon as a kid and I loved Jurassic World Evolution 2 despite the jank, so Dinosaur zoos interest me. My sister worked at a zoo so every time we meet up I ask her questions about the series and if it's accurate since the park operates more as a realistic zoo than Jurassic Park. From the first chapter I asked if zoos really do feed carnivores whole carcasses for enrichment purposes and she said a zoo in Germany tried it once but everyone was grossed out so they stopped. For me it's a comfy series because of my past but if you're into series about day to day operations at a zoo I would highly recommend it.

I've seen them getting fed whole chickens or goats on several occasions.
Here's an article about a recent cow feeding. It doesn't sound like they'd stop.

No, pretty much all imprints of T. Rex skin show 0 evidence for feathers.

This is why people dropped sci-fi in favour of fantasy.
Evolution is gay, giant lizards are based.

Do you also think elephants don't have fur?
>>
>>288277196
Stop talking about shit you know nothing about. Yeah Yuta had feathers but you completely forget WHY it did, and that's because it was much much older than t. rex and much more primitive and from a completely different branch

Dinosaurs are cool because they were real. Dragons aren't nearly as beloved because they're fake and for autists on the slippery slope to scalies. The more real dinosaurs become the cooler they get. I'm sorry Hollywood poisoned your brain and turned T-Rex into Godzilla but you have to stop trying to make living creatures into badass movie monster superheroes. For gods sake there was a meltdown when scientists found evidence of T-Rex scavenging carcasses for food; the nature is metal-fags found it degrading their beast didn't do an epic hunt for all its meals. And instead of embracing how badass birds can look (see: bearded vulture) and viewing bird mannerisms with awe of how dinosaurs once moved, you're saying the exact thing that little shit at the start of Jurassic Park did because you failed to grow up and retain your imagination.

>instead of embracing how badass birds can look and viewing bird mannerisms with awe of how dinosaurs once moved
The problem is that while birds are dinosaurs, not all dinosaurs are related to birds and not all of them had feathers.

>not all dinosaurs are related to birds
Everything is related to birds and dinosaurs are more closely related than crocodilians and pterosaurs, who had feathers as well.
>>
>>288276096
looks bad

Paleontology will never be an objective science because every single generation grew up with the (at the time) perceived notion of how dinosaurs looked like, so their bias is too strong.

Facial ornamentation is pretty common, so 'converting' that to weaponry is relatively easy evolutionarily. You're working from a standard blueprint.
Ankylosaur tail club evolution was a very long and complex path by comparison. Anatomically their tails are very distinct.
