New chapter today. Chapter spoiler: Loid is taken by Yuri to a party hosted by the SSS. Although he is subjected to a barrage of interrogations (?), he carefully survives the onslaught. However, Yor, who could be a major weakness, is about to arrive at the party!?
OH SHIT ITS TIMEToday Loid will have to use 200% of his brain to explain how his fingerprints ended up on the Russian radio operator's suitcase.
Kiss your wife already you spy bastard
>Wilker and Loid interaction>Wilker and Yor interaction>Yor and Chloe interactionSo many possibilities for today. I'm really excited. Oddly, I think Curtis and Yor is the one I'm least looking forward to as I don't see it going anywhere.

I dare to say that this was one of the best (if not the best) comedy chapter in the series.Constant chaos and meeting between many characters is great. Especially when at this point SSS just thinks of Loid as one of their own and want Yuri to shut up, lol
>>288300898Chapter uploaded.
>>288300898This is going to go so badly. There's no way the Thorn Princess can be traquilized. Though if he tries to shoot her, she's probably going to dodge anyway and alert Wilker.

>>288300172>as twilight[COMPROMISED] doesn't even notice that it is all his husband knowledge.
>>288301047It was great that we got a fake-out with Yor showing up only for a more problematic character to start stirring shit instead, and then she showed up anyway.Loid is probably gonna die from stomach bleeding before this ends.
>>288300929I feel like Loid's only way out is to accidentally roofie himself because Yor takes poisons as painkillers, so even an instant tranquilizer dose wouldn't be strong enough to knock her out. Of course he doesn't know that about her yet either, so he'll probably still hit Yor with it but think he missed when it has no effect.
>>288300644I love how Twilight is just casually acknowledging that he knows Yuri gets traumatized by this stuff. And that he literally vomits blood (and that this is so common for Yuri that nobody is bothered by it).

>>288301178He hits Yor and thinks Franky gave him a piece of junk, then he hits Wilker and internally starts freaking out again.
>>288301217>drunk YuriMeant drunk Yor. My sorry as is also drunk
>eats your pizza with malicious intent
>>288301222I take that to be for the sake of comedy, or it just being one type of poison she has no resistance against. From Gympie's words on the matter, Yor is so resistant to drugs that most medicines don't even do much to her, and she requires a special formulation to even have a reliable painkiller.
None of this would have happened if Tasogare had a competent wifeThere's still time to fix that
>>288300644pfffff
>>288300898Thanks for the dump, this house party arc is the funniest arc in the whole series.Every page is comedy gold!>>288300964It will work on her - it's just that it will reinforce her love meter to allow her to be even bolder in her lovey dovey couple game.Loid? >>288301222>>288301374you're thinking too much about it, it's just a jokeand besides, axeman is a nip, he wouldn't know that alcohol is poison
Hey anons, pizza's here!
>>288301127>(and that this is so common for Yuri that nobody is bothered by it).the funniest part is how SSS guys literally care more for Loid than him.
the more time we spend in Ostania, the more I wonder what the conflict is even about.and it makes me wonder if we will ever spend an arc in westalis. or did I forget something?
>>288300847>>288300898>>288301178No, you guys haven't been reading!Loid is going to WANT to "do thing" but it turns out the outcome he wants to avoid is THE SAME OUTCOME that EVERYONE at the party wants to avoid!>Tranquilize Yor, so they can leave? Sounds good!>WAIT!! If she "gets drunk," the outcome will be unimaginably awful! FOR EVERYONE!>I'm going to ACTIVELY AVOID tranquilizing her! I cannot, will not do that! So, what will happen? Obviously,>*Yor gets lovedrunk regardless*>*Yor begins fawning over Loid and becoming possessive*>*Loid is practically running away from her or dodging her in every way he can*>*Yor is the better martial artist, and stronger, by far*>*Yor grabs his wrist*>***Drunken Yor ensues***The joke will be EVERYONE at the party is on Loid's side; they want the VERY SAME THING he does. Get the director out, stop Yuri from overreacting to his sister's clingy deathclaws.Loid and the entirety of SSS are going to bond over working with each other to help flee this terrible situation.Yor will forget it all happened.Director will end the day thinking, "yup. Thought so. He's Twilight. Let's see how this goes..."
>>288301122I'm 90% sure her instincts will kick in if she senses a projectile coming towards her unless she's super, super distracted, and even that's only happened once to our knowledge. The only way Loid actually injects her with anything is if he touches her directly since she trusts him enough to turn said instincts off. If he's dedicated to the long-range option, I expect him to either miss entirely or hit someone else. Both are bad depending on how Yor reacts, but if hits someone else and someone sees the dart in them before he can extract it, he's in trouble.>>288301222Yor probably hasn't specifically trained against alcohol because she doesn't have a reason to. No one is going to try to kill her with alcohol. We know she's intentionally built up a tolerance against basically everything else, though. Tranquilizers were probably one of the first immunities she built up due to how disastrous they could be for her.
The cheese pizza was no coincidence. Twilight was being offered child sex which they'd then use as blackmail material.
>>288300579CENSOR THAT SHIT
thanks for delivering as always
>>288301632Yor is drunk here, so I expect her senses to be off. Sometimes she's slower to react when drunk, like in the mole arc. Plus I can't see Loid missing since he backed off from immediately firing it to carefully plot out how he could get her without the SSS officers noticing. Next chapter might just be about him looking for an opportunity to strike with the punchline being it having little to no effect on Yor.
>>288300799hit anyone else with a needle and you're fucking dead, you're the only external element here
>>288301582Twilight's flashback arc is the closest we've had to a Westalis arc I think.
>>288300799>time to roofie my intoxicated wife!Based.
Why is Spy x Family considered slice of life?
>>288300898Loid you could also just walk out the front door with Yor or get her to knock you out too.
>>288300444Fucking Anya
Skinship practice with my beautiful wife Yor.For the mission!
>>288300579Great idea Twilight, give Yuri a heart attack! The medical emergency will allow you to slip away unnoticed.
>>288302081he's overthinking it because he is panicking, he's forgetting that he just ingratiated himself as Loid Forger and that it would be perfectly normal for him and Yor to dip
>>288300444Cheesed to meet you.
Is this hands down the funniest arc? Every chapter so far has left me in pain from the laughter.
>>288300724Straight from the bottle like a savage.
>>288300644>Ow.It's the little jokes that add the most.
>>288300799>Various issuesThe needle is going to fire backwards and hit Loid and everyone will see it then get mad at Yuri thinking he did it
>>288301882I see two outcomes:1. Loid succeeds by himself, but the tranquilizer has zero effect. Loid now has more problems and less surrounding support.2. Loid succeeds by (Yor's) accident, and the tranquilizer has EXTREME effect... as a stimulant! Yor is now in a frenzy. Loid now has more problems but everyone at the party sympathizes and starts helping a lot more.
>>288300724>drunk Yor in his imagination calls him Loi LoiCute. Also he's so fucking gone.
>>288302265Thanks, I completely missed that.
>>288302192Exactly, just a simple "we need to go back to our child" would be more than enough as an excuse.
>>288302265I didn't even notice that on the first read.
>Loid accidentally drugs himself>Yor and everyone else thinks he must have drank too much>Yor says she’s taking him home>everyone is cool with it>barely coherent Loid internally: MITHUN SHUKTHESH….I just feel like it’s going to end with them getting out of there more easily than he’s over thinking it
>>288302413>Cute. Also he's so fucking gone.do you blame him?
>>288301632>>288301882>>288302408I'm also thinking Yor's still sober enough for her assassin sense to activate and she'll either dodge or deflect and pass it off as stumbling from drunkenness, but she's impaired enough not to notice the dart came from Loid.
>>288300293Twilight, Anya would be abandoned.
>>288302229Yeah, I'm the same. I had to reread this chapter after calming down since it was so funny I got tears in my eyes halfway into it.
>>288301882Fair, but I'd argue that alcohol doesn't usually affect her physical capabilities that much. It's more often her logic and inhibitions. We've seen her drunk fight with perfect accuracy until she abruptly fell asleep at the end in the castle chapter. She may be dimmed a bit, but I don't expect it to be so much she can't sense someone shooting at her.>Next chapter might just be about him looking for an opportunity to strike with the punchline being it having little to no effect on Yor.What's the point of this though? This is an arc. We don't normally have multi-chapter setup for punchlines in arcs. They're usually building towards something. Either he's hitting her and it affects her behavior in some way which dominoes into something else, he's missing her and that dominoes into something else, or he spends the whole chapter building up to tranquilizing Yor before realizing he can't do it because it makes his heart sad.
>>288300898This arc has been super fun.
>>288302489Probably, but he's worried someone would check if Anya was home at the time and catch him in a lie.
>>288298341I love Autist x Party.
I get more and more the feeling that this arc will end with Loid finally collapsing from stomach pain, him being rushed to ER and the whole SSS goes to pay him a visit out of courtesy at the hospital
>>288300899No, that's the bowtie he left at home.
>>288300119finally, something happening
they got pizza in Ostania huh
>>288300230So what sort of "force" was he considering using here?
Lots of close contact with Loido this chapter and her meter didn't break. She's getting stronger.
>>288302818she even initiated hand holding, its not going to be long until Loid's pelvis is in danger and Anya is in danger of losing her status of only child
>>288299899Does Germany have a history of broad comic Italian accents like Chico Marx and Father Guido Sarducci? I assume Japonese doesn't.
>>288302808Ostania is supposed to represent East Germany, not Russia.
>>288302871mate, they're practically our neighbours. of course we have silly little racist accents we use to mock each other
>>288299904Michael Scott syndrome.
>>288302714>Loid wakes up in a hospital bed surrounded by half a dozen SSS officersI enjoy him being unable to escape this nightmare.
>>288302580Per the nature of this manga, they'll both leave with "success" in their mind and most everyone at the party loves them both more. All SSS will actually be relieved once they get home and nothing bad happened with Director. However, the Director and maybe one or two others will also have left already instantly identifying Loid as "Twilight" and/or identifying Yor as "Thorn Princess." In the Director's case, he already figured it out and is simply watching. If others "just figure this out" for either's case, they'll now be on strong alert, they simply needed to not make a scene at the party.
>>288300579kyute
>>288300898seriously? the pizza will make him sick?ughhhhhhhhh okay
>>288302948This is what I'm expecting too. There won't be any explosions in this arc, but it'll start the ball rolling down the hill for Wilker, which will be revisited later.
>>288300365Chloe, never stop negging Yuri. Even if it doesn't work, he deserves it.
>>288303025He has a hernia from Anya
>>288302687He'd still be overthinking it. It's normal for parents to want to go home early so that their kid doesn't come back to an empty house. Yuri is the only one who would try hassling him about it since all of his coworkers like Loid better anyway.
>>288300579Unprotected handholding in the middle of a party full of Yuri's coworkers? What a couple of perverts!
>>288300579She's holding it in the most autistic way possible.
>>288300898Comedy cinema.
>>288299899The pizza glasses are a nice touch. Loid is going to die from stress
>>288303228Yor is a perfect example of a femAutist
>>288300898Loid is going to wake up in an SSS hospital after darting himself isn't he?
>>288303085>Chloe, never stop negging YuriThat's now what I read, in the rush of things.
>>288300579The giant heart background returns, but with no " boom" sound effect this time.
>>288301546sup mimima, give me one pineapple slice
I saw a new Loid and Yor book get translated into English a few days ago. I'd post the panda link but I'm not home. But if you want to see some rough Twilight and Thorn Princess vanilla icha icha during a mission then go look it up.
>>288302655>We don't normally have multi-chapter setup for punchlines in arcs. That was how last arc went though. There was an entire chapter of Loid, Yor, and Yuri stepping on each other's toes before the final punchline revealed that the terrorists just wanted a reshoot, which sent the arc in a completely different direction.Right now Loid is desperately trying to find a way to escape the party and settled on tranquilizing Yor, but he's just throwing anything at the wall to see what sticks. Plus there are other chaotic factors at play with Wilker being a menace and Yor getting drunk. Ironically Curtis is the smallest worry here, but he could also be put back in play at any moment. Same with Yuri. It's only been two chapters so it's not clear what the final outcome of this mess will be.
>>288303494>It's only been two chapters so it's not clear what the final outcome of this mess will be.it's gonna be status quo

>>288301546I love Suspiciously Stationary Slices!
This arc is too fucking good.
>>288303494>That was how last arc went though. There was an entire chapter of Loid, Yor, and Yuri stepping on each other's toes before the final punchline revealed that the terrorists just wanted a reshoot, which sent the arc in a completely different direction. That still dominoed into something else. Notably, Yor getting roped into the reshoot, which itself dominoed into something else. It wasn't setup for a punchline that just ended there.>Plus there are other chaotic factors at play with Wilker being a menace and Yor getting drunkThis is what I'm saying. I feel like this is going to somehow spill into something with Wilker or another member of the SSS, whether because Yor does something Garden-y or Loid shoots the wrong person and draws suspicion from someone in the room. As another anon said, he's the outlier here so if anything weird happens, eyes are going to him. There's no continuance to Loid hitting Yor and it not do anything aside from him starting to suspect her and lol lmao even at that happening.

>>288306257Yor’s assassin senses are triggered when someone has bloodlust, or killing intent. Loid obviously does not have that, he just wants an excuse to get himself and Yor the fuck out of there. I think it’s very unlikely her spidey-senses will go off when Loid tries to fire the dart.
>>288306565Yor also has a casual assassin senseRemember when she first met Loid. She completely noticed him looking at her, even though he was in spy-mode, which even freaking him out
>>288305836Now let’s see Yuri and Chloe.
>>288306565Not that guy, but she can sense when people are just looking at her so her senses don't seem to be restricted to when someone's attacking her. Also, Shopkeeper surely would've been able to hide any killing intent and she still dodged his attack. Or, if you think he wasn't aiming to kill her, he didn't have any killing intent or bloodlust to hide in the first place.>>288306682She also does this during the entrance exams so she has a history of sensing non-lethal intent.
>>288300829Not the first time. Endo probably is a fan.
>>288300579l-l-lewd
>>288300829We always were
Damn endo, you didn't have to bash Anya like that.
Don't be too hard on Twilight. He is a spy first and foremost.
>>288307706That reminds me of something I realized recently. The researchers were always pushing Anya to study and now classical language is the one thing she's really good at. This is why she's good at it. Cause that's what they were making her study. She's a telepath and they know she's a telepath so they probably wanted her to be able to read the mind of someone that used that language. I mean, think about it.>mad scientists have telepath they want to exploit for "world peace">insist that she has to study so she can be used for this purposeWhat would they need her to study if not a language? The reminder that Anya used to be really interesting is painful. I miss that Anya.
>>288302948My guess is the director spots Yor as thorn princess. He's been to Garden plenty of times and they've made no effort to hide their operatives from him. And that's less contrived than "the director knows he's twilight but doesn't move on him for... reasons"
>>288308042The consequences of unmasking Yor definitely have less immediacy to them. Even if the SSS wants her, which we don't know for sure yet, she's highly dangerous so they wouldn't be able to just walk up to her. There'd still be a while of setting up the motivation as well as the method/blackmail before anything happened. With Loid, there's no reason not to just grab him immediately. That said, consider the nuclear option of unmasking them both. They know exactly where the most wanted spy in Ostania is, but their hands are tied because he's living with a tasmanian devil. But also, are they aware of each other? Are WISE and Garden working together against Ostania?
>>288308042I feel like Shopkeeper would want to keep the identities of his operatives a secret, even from Wilker, to keep the possibility of someone in Garden being compromised to an absolute minimum. The fewer people who know the names/faces of their assassins the better.
Nothing will ever happen. We just stall and do NTR jokes. At least new chapters are fun.

>>288300002Axeman has a talent for funny background events.
>>288304166She's just negging him here. He should've been okay since she complimented Yor's beauty but he still got offended because she called him ugly, so it was clearly effective at getting his attention. If she's lucky she'll get him to behave himself, too.
>>288308368Axeman's gotten better about letting things happen, presumably because sales are down. The bleed has slowed so his efforts are working, though sales have nonetheless dipped to just above where they were in volume 3 now.SxF is still outselling almost all other ongoings, but it's losing 60-80k per volume. (Yes, this is better than it was before.) I'm not sure what it's going to take for it to become more sustainable.
>>288300365We need a date chapter for Yuri and Chloe to become even closer.
>>288309671I just realized, since this story is going to be in the next volume, it's perfect for Axeman to put one of the SSS characters on the cover. Chloe is obviously the top choice, but Curtis and Wilker would also work to save her for a later cover.
>>288308042>and they've made no effort to hide their operatives from him.I don't think we can say that yet. The one meeting we saw showed Wilker meeting Shopkeeper entirely on Shopkeeper's terms, and well away from the pruners. Wilker also implied in that meeting that he does not know how many assassins are in Garden, let alone who they are.
>>288300365It is a bit weird that Yor doesn't remember Curtis. You'd think she'd be better with faces than that. I wonder if she's ever killed the wrong person.
It's impossible to read chapter 135's thread on Reddit, holy fucking shit. The people there literally do not care about the story, the character development, the lore, all they talk about is "hurr twilight and yor", "hurr they need to kiss". I love a good romance, but shippers are truly fucking cancer. I'm glad /a/ still has some standards.
>>288310478Who says she doesn't? I'm pretty sure she'll question herself by the end of this arc why an SSS agent is a friend of Yuri's.

>>288310498It’s worse on Twitter. So many accounts are crucifying Loid because of his plan to tranquillize Yor. The way they’re losing it you’d think his intent was to rape her while she was out.
My predictions:>Yor does remember Curtis>Loid will vomit on someone and that will be the "excuse" to leave the party>Someone in there will be suspicious of Loid (maybe Curtis, maybe the director, maybe that other captain)>This party might have big repercussions in Wise and Garden
>>288300898>it's an annoying dinner party except everyone is a spy, secret police, or an assassin, almost none of them know it and the one that does is way over estimating how actually dangerous this all is (even though it's still pretty dangerous)This is exactly the kind of shenanigans this set up was always meant to excel in. Surprised it took this long for something like this to happen.
I need a Yor, Yuri and Cloe arc
>>288310815These people literally do not care about the story, they only care about displayings of affection between the main characters. If they engaged with the fucking story they'd understand Loid does not love Yor consciously yet, so this plan is perfectly in line with his character, it would actually be strange if he didn't think of it. But even if we ignore that, by the end of the fucking chapter Loid literally says he has to pick another target because Yor won't approach him and people are still thinking he will target Yor, these retards don't even read the fucking chapter.

>>288310945>But even if we ignore that, by the end of the fucking chapter Loid literally says he has to pick another target because Yor won't approach him and people are still thinking he will target YorNta and I agree with you that Redditors are cringe-inducing and braindead and it's the one place on the internet I can't bring myself to even lurk, but I think you're wrong on this one. Loid is still targeting Yor. He just had to change his plan from pricking her to shooting her with a dart because she's not coming over to him like he's asking.I think whether or not he goes through with it will determine the basic goal of this arc. If he can't bring himself to do it, then this is probably meant to pick up where the TV arc left off in terms of forcing Loid to confront what he feels for Yor. If he can, it's more likely that the ultimate outcome is something to do with Wilker discovering something about Loid or more likely Yor.
>>288303493Should be this one right? It was a decent read. You can definitely tell the artist is a lady though. Real yumejo stuff.https://exhentai.org/g/3942405/312da4f58e/

>>288310914Don’t hit him!
At the end of this arc it will be revealed that Yor did in fact recognize him as an SSS agent but she was able to poker face her way through this encounter
>>288309671>I'm not sure what it's going to take for it to become more sustainable.Change in the status quo, all of those changes with the Anya stuff are a start, but things need to really shake up, like, Yor falling in love needs to lead somewhere.

Really great chapter this week
I think Twilight and Yor should start dating already, or at least try to, normally romance manga tend to end when the couple gets together, but that's because the couple getting together is the main story, here is completely different, they still have the secret identities and the whole plot with operation strix, they would essentially go from>I need to keep my job secret from my fake familyto>I need to keep my job secret from my familyIt's enough of a shake up in the formula and adds various new possibilities while keeping the overall tone the same.
>>288311609>Yor falling in love needs to lead somewhere.I'd say he's doing better with this than most other things. It's brought up again immediately, and followed shortly thereafter with Yor asking Loid on a date, which itself leads to the first hint that Loid is romantically interested in Yor and of course his internal crisis over his willingness to die for her. Now we have this arc where he's called out as being in love with her even though he thinks he's acting. The pace has been pretty good on this. I think Axeman deserves credit here.
>>288311448I want the companion doujin about the ugly bastard and the two lolis.
>>288301178He accidentally shoots pizza man and it works then everyone goes crazy.
>>288312047It's good, but everything will remain the same if it this arc doesn't lead to a confession or a kiss at least, the main problem is that even if Yor is in love, it doesn't change anything with the status quo if she doesn't act on it.
>>288308296>>288310398I imagine Shopkeeper does try to keep the pruners away from Wilker, though more to save himself the headache of one of them being used in ways that don't align with his own goals.
>>288312179>everything will remain the same if it this arc doesn't lead to a confession or a kiss at leastI'd say there are a lot of ways this arc could resolve that would change things up aside from a kiss or confession (as I highly doubt either will happen here). Heck, the mere fact Yor is actively trying to get better with physical affection should count as a change.
>>288300644>owI like that he just accepts that Yor will crush his hand at this point. Like he's in pain but is no longer surprised by it and just has to roll with it.>Yep Yor is gorilla gripping my hand that's normal for her alright
>>288312179>It's good, but everything will remain the same if it this arc doesn't lead to a confession or a kiss at leastThis is unrealistic. Loid and Yor aren't teenagers. They're damaged adults with adult problems. Yor only just realized she's in love with Loid and she gave sound reasoning for not confessing: She doesn't think he thinks of her that way. And at least consciously, she's correct. There is nothing to be gained from confessing right now.The ball is in Loid's court currently and Axeman has been doing a good job on building him up to meet her. But as far as romance goes, Loid has even more problems than Yor does and he has to work through those first. Both last arc and this arc have made good strides forward.>the main problem is that even if Yor is in love, it doesn't change anything with the status quo if she doesn't act on it.She is acting on it, though. She asked him on a date and told Yuri she was in love with her husband. This isn't status quo.
>>288310815I think a lot of such fans really underestimate how pragmatic Twilight's default thought processes are. To him drugging someone to avoid a dangerous situation probably doesn't even count as ethically questionable to him. They also need to remember the foundation of this relationship is Yor and Twilight taking advantage of each other for the sake of their secrets. Their affection for each other has only changed this so much.
>>288311367Oh, right, sorry. Dang, I was criticizing people for not reading and I myself misread the last page lol.
>>288312398I took the tiny "ow" to hopefully mean she's at least not squeezing quite as hard as last time.
>>288312591Or Lloyd's bones regrew stronger.
>>288312326I think Yor working on increasing her tolerance meter is a big step for her. Even if she can't speak her feelings, she still wants to spend more time with Loid, dress up for him, and stay fake married to him for as long as she can have him. Being able to do more PDA with Loid would be to her benefit since Loid never tries initiating anymore because she might hit him.>>288312398He WILL survive the sex.
>>288312571I'll give you the benefit of the doubt that trying to read Reddit posts discombobulated your brain. Take it and run.
>>288312326>>288312539Yes, it's a change, and the manga needs more like it to shake up the formula, we can assume sales declined because readers got bored/tired of the current one, when I say that it should lead somewhere, what I mean is that it should meaningfully change the way they interact, what they think about each other, Yor wanting to be more personal with Twilight or inviting him to dates should be less about keeping the fake family image and more about Yor embracing the fact that she's in love, she needs to think "I love him and I want to get closer to him".
Did anyone notice the huge focus on Loid's stomach this chapter? He's definitely gonna throw up or something.
>>288311657Can't draw for shit, hope this will do.
These Loid/Yor/Yuri/Wise/SSS/Garden chapters are so much better than the Anya/Becky/Demian chapters. Please just do a timeskip and let them grow already so their arcs can become a little more interesting.
>>288312667Kek
>>288312676Loid having stress-induced stomach problems has always been a thing for him.
>>288312750Sounds like a big issue for the best spy in the world to have.
>>288312725banger, saved
>>288312645I'm pretty sure she's already thinking that, the "improve our cover" thing has become more an excuse since she doesn't want to tell him the real reason.
>>288312645>Yor wanting to be more personal with Twilight or inviting him to dates should be less about keeping the fake family image and more about Yor embracing the fact that she's in love, she needs to think "I love him and I want to get closer to him".That's exactly why she invited him in the last arc though. She guarded her tickets from Millie, Camilla, and Yuri because she wanted to spend more time with Loid, and was afraid he'd turn her down because they just had a date. She even fretted over her outfit before realizing that she was starting to expect too much from it, because Yor knows that Loid reciprocating her attraction is too much to ask from him.It was Loid who saw the outing as an opportunity to do more spy work, but that same arc was where he finally broke down over his own illogical actions.
>>288312676>>288312750I'm hoping he's gonna pass out again and Yor has to carry him home.
>stomach torn to shreds>indigestion from pizza>will likely end up tranquilizing himself next chapterEither Yor is going to take him home or the SSS is going to take him to the hospital.
>>288312829>>288312830It was always an excuse for them, they've been in love for a long time but always lying to themselves about it, and after Yor finally admitting it, one would think she'd stop thinking about this as a fake role like in >>288300579 and more as her trying to get closer to him, she shouldn't think that this is fake because she already admitted that it's not, if even in her mind she still mentions that this is fake then it's pretty much the same as before.
>>288310914EspiarxFamilia
>>288313095You've got three people gently telling you you're wrong and you're being stubborn about it. Two things can be true at once. Yor can be in love with Loid and also be in a fake marriage with him. Her loving him does not make their marriage real.
>>288313095She's not thinking it in her mind, she's whispering it back to Loid. She asked her coworkers how to calm down because she wants to stop ruining the mood, and so instead of fleeing the party because everyone might find out they were a fake couple like Loid said, she decided to take their advice and use the opportunity to get better at "acting" like his wife in public.
>>288313095I don't think that was in her mind though, she voiced it aloud not as a thought bubble. That's why Loid knew what she said. She's just whispering to him just as he did to her.
>>288313302>>288313346Sheesh, ended up repeating your point again.
>>288300579Amazing yor>>288300644He went for the nuclear option
>>288313247And I agree with that, the whole discussion started because of sale numbers, all I'm saying is that the status quo needs a shake up, and the manga needs to show that, Yor doesn't need to justify these feelings as being part of the fake marriage like before now that she already admitted being in love.>>288313302>>288313346I could be interpreting this wrong, doesn't the () imply that that part is in her head?
Yuri has taken quite a lot of critical damage these past few chapters. And yet he still has not shamelessly demanded to sleep over yet to cockblock Loi-loi.I think it's looking unlikely that it ever happens now. It should have happened earlier in the series I feel.Or maybe that's why Axeman is building Yor's tolerance meter. So she doesn't combust as soon as her husband enters their shared room and bed. Then Yuri can actually stay over without Yor immediately folding.
>>288312908I like that we've cycled from>he's going to tranquilize Yorto>he's going to miss and tranquilize someone elseto>he's going to tranquilize himselfFranky's inventions have never been established to be unreliable. In fact, I think he's always been portrayed as something of a genius with them. It's unlikely the normal use of it will backfire enough to hit Loid. If he does end up tranq'd, I assume it will be the result of the watch being ripped off, thrown into the air, and then landing on him. Which is possible, but I can't even imagine the wild chain of events leading to that.
>>288313619>Franky's inventions have never been established to be unreliableI dunno. That box of inventions he was selling during the charity event for veterans doesn't exactly instill confidence.Even this power armor was played for laughs before Yor broke it.Franky's inventions are inherently goofy and impractical I'd say.
>>288313839
>>288313462I think the parentheses are meant to identify something implied but unsaid. It's not necessarily consciously thought. He's done this a bunch of times before. It's just supposed to be funny.
>>288313996Kek. I forgot about these. Still none of them are implied to not work. They're just goofy. The supersuit was the same. Loid seems to think he's reliable and Loid's not an easy guy to please.
>>288314157Apparently very few of the devices he makes are practical enough for Loid to use, and he does make dud gadgets as well. There's a decent chance that Loid uses it and it does function as intended, but the result is so off from what Loid expects that he'll think Franky gave him another piece of junk anyway.
>>288300444>>288302101What we all think about...
>>288311728>>288300444>>288302101>>288314287
>>288313519Yuri from the start assumes they are having sex regularly (as he fears hearing Yor's cries of pleasure if he left a bug in her room), so he probably wouldn't see much point in stopping them for one night. That said, the series does need to have Loid and Yor sleep in the same room at some point. They teased it during that stay at the ski lodge so it's not like the author has forgotten about it.
>>288314287Nice.
>>288314236To be fair, there's a big difference between something meant to permanently and safely stretch a human being and something meant to fire a tranquilizer dart. Maybe calling him a genius was a bit of an exaggeration, but it sounds like most of his inventions are quirky and often useless but not dangerous or prone to misfire.
>>288313462>the whole discussion started because of sale numbers>all I'm saying is that the status quo needs a shake upI know, and I 100% agree with you, but I feel like you're barking up the tree of the one topic Axeman has been really good about lately. If you'd made this argument before the Garden arc, I wouldn't fight you half as hard, but now? He has been steadily moving Loid and Yor's relationship and he deserves praise for it. It has been a major point of interest and he's been developing it gradually and, apart from the scandal arc, constantly. For what it's worth, we haven't seen the sales impact from most of this yet. 120 aka what started this whole train was in volume 17, but the TV and SSS party arcs aren't physical yet. Mind you, LoidYor development alone isn't going to stop the sales hemorrhage, but it's a step in the right direction.

But he could be forced over for other unrelated circumstances, in which case Loid and Yor would still be forced into the same room because there is someone they have to keep the facade up for in their home. I'm not sure what would need to happen for them to make it a permanent arrangement before the ending though.

You've made your last mission Twilight... sorry you got twisted up in this scene. From where you're kneeling it must seem like an 18-carat run of bad luck... but the truth is... you were in love with Yor from the start.
>>288315138>>288315668His options are to make a quick escape by any normal means possible or risk getting exposed along with Yor at a party full of high ranking SSS officers including their director. His panic is obviously making him irrational, but given the stakes and how every other improvised plan of his went south, I can't fault him for thinking like a cornered rat.Plus I'm not that worried since Loid started spiraling only after he realized that his overzealous interrogation of Yor landed him in this worst case scenario in the first place. Axeman's karmic comedic writing will make sure that he still gets fucked over somehow before they go home relatively unscathed. Loid creates his own biggest headaches.

Everyone could pass it off as him passing out and they'd be able to kick him out safely.Otherwise Loid would be the funniest because he's digging his grave when Yor hasn't outted him to Curtis, all the secret police guys like him, and even Yuri is being more restrained than usual. He's blowing the entire thing out of proportion when no one would bat an eye if he politely asked to dip out with his wife.
>>288317047Wilker is a bad choice, drunk or not he would know he was tranqed and it would result in him thinking it was someone from SSS doing it to him to get rid of him from the party which is bad.

A question mark is often included to emphasize the sense of disbelief, but it's not necessary since it's just as much a statement of fact and not an actual question. At least not how it's used here.
I could kind of go for some 'za now to be honest, anyone else up for a slice?

great chappy. loid has to protect an embarrassing secret from his in-law's friends, only in this case his secret getting out means torture and execution. I never get tired of how this manga interweaves life and death stakes with ridiculous slice of life drama
I wonder if this would be better without the middle text.

>>288300847What's with the 'sexual bullying' Loid?
>>288301582It's pretty obvious to me that Axeman is going to sidestep the entire political issue by making it some manner of anti-Royalist warmongering, that conveniently has no real-life analogue.
>>288300847I love how they exist on the same insane wavelength. Loid is wearing his unhinged Twilight expression as he's calling her back to be sedated, and Yor only blushes at him because she can tell he's trying to beckon her flirtatiously in spite of looking murderous. They really do look past all the weird shit for each other. It's love.
realistically though, assuming Loid eventually falls in love with Yor, how can Loid and Yor ever be together? Their home countries are at war, one or both of them would have to abandon their country or they would have to hope for peace between them.

I don't like how Fiona only exists to make Yor look better by comparison
>>288319766because it's not East Germany. There is a reason why he set the story in a fictional country, so that he doesn't have to be 100% historically accurate
>>288319457you just described that it's a similar premise, you didn't say anything about what happens at the end, to answer anons question of "how can this relationship work?"
>>288319871The movie ends with the Smiths killing assassins sent by both their respective agencies because they wouldn’t kill each other, while arguing over the other’s fighting style and personal secrets. They see a marriage counselor, saying their relationship is doing better than ever.
>>288319177They aren't at war though, unless you mean the cold war. Yor has also noted loyalty to her country is not the main motivation she has, same for Twilight.

>>288321548No, but the more time that passes, the more I think he's not going to even try. I'd prefer if he did and missed because that sounds more dramatic, but with how his character arc has been lately, I suspect he's going to get caught on his own feelings again.

My paternal grandparents were well enough so they also got state funded vacations from work. Zero mention of the Central Economy, the manufacturing in GDR, the 5 year plans. I was kinda hoping someone would ask Twilight of his military service and where he was stationed but oh well. Endo should really incorporate more stuff into the story. I know it's fictional GDR but kinda doesn't feel like it.

>>288327447Maybe it has some chance to go very very right
I might be misreading this, but it sounds like even the firing mode has to be from very close range. So it's not that he has to line up a shot; it's that he has to nearly catch her. If the next chapter is Loid trying to remain inconspicuous while chasing a skittish Yor around the house, that changes the implications of how this can go wrong a bit. Notably, if Wilker is onto Yor at all, her performing advanced acrobatics in her attempts to evade her husband is probably all the confirmation he'll need. Also a much higher chance they get tangled up in each other and Loid ends up tranquilizing himself if he doesn't just decide not to do it.
>>288323732There were a few mentions of socialism, but otherwise Ostania seems to have never had a socialist/communist takeover, what's with the multi-party system, all of the aristocratic bullshit at the academy, Becky's dad being a hyper-wealthy business tycoon, etc.

>>288311448link doesnt work?
>>288329723No, in fact his age is more likely in the 29-30 range that people hovered around for him.>war ended over 10 years ago>Twilight has been a spy for over 10 years>his ordinary life joined his papers in the rubbish bin the day he became a spy>day he became a spy was the day the boarded the train with the recruiterThe only way he could be even older is if you greatly stretch out the time between the last day he saw his friends, when they were all around eighteen, and the time the military police discovered him, since he was still at a military base when they recruited him near the tail end of the war.>>288330098Yes but you rarely give the actual age if you're trying to hide any personal identifying information to link you to your real identity. Twilight can physically pass as 32 and that's also about the age people would accept for a doctor with a first grade child.
>>288323572>dark eyes>blonde hairwhy are fan artists so retarded? I see this with gojo and utahime kid too, literally not one of them got it biologically realistic, aka darker hair and lighter eyes combo. The inverse is basically impossible.

>>288330364Yor has red eyes. I don't know why you're trying to apply real world genetics. Though even setting that aside, recessive genes are a thing. If they weren't, everyone would be dark hair, dark eyes by now.

>>288329723>>288330098>>288330228If you assume Loid is the same age as his friends and his aside about spending ten years as a spy was exact rather than approximate, he's 28-29 depending on when his birthday falls. However, we don't know that he was the same age nor would it be unreasonable for his "ten years" remark to be a rounded estimate. At the very least, I would say that he isn't 32, just based on how he stumbled over it and had to think for a minute. I like 30 myself. I think it makes his lie pretty reasonable while also taking the timeline details into account.>emblemHuh. Those do look the same. If that's the Garden emblem, it's weird that Yor doesn't wear it. She and Shopkeeper have a different one.
>>288311609This is why I don't follow mainstream Manga, is so dishonest, slow, built around sales.
Man, what a fucking chapter. I loved almost every page.
More uninvited outsiders, maybe from WISE's side this time like Fiona, should somehow crash the party to further complicate everything.
>>288330535Do you think she smells his clothes when she does the laundry?
>>288330774Yes, I agree. Also, I take my original grace period back, as there can't have been too much time between meeting his friends and the recruiter contacting him, as he's still recovering from his injuries and not even fully healed by the time he boards the train. The only other time I can think of that would allow him to be older than 30 is if he and his friends were all 20 or even older when they met again. But this also seems implausible, as he was a sergeant do to being enlisted since he was 16, and that rank takes two years to obtain as a private; but also because his friends' conversation and ranks made it sound like they were going on their first deployment. The very oldest I can say he is at the time he becomes a spy is 19, and when adding a rough estimate of ten years to that, even rounding down, the oldest he could be is 30. If enough time passes in the manga, anyone could say he's pushing 31. But that's as high as I can estimate his age, and I think he was likely 29 or 30 at the start of the story.
>>288331187If she doesn't now, she will in the future.

>>288331284>as he was a sergeant do to being enlisted since he was 16, and that rank takes two years to obtain as a private; Is it possible it was less than two years? He does claim to his friends that he got promoted more quickly due to how many people higher in rank kept being killed in battle.
>>288330228>recruited into wise at 18 at youngest>spy training>spy over 10 yearshow do you fit all that shit into 29 or even 30?
>>288331647The fact that they're both in danger here the longer they stay might override that part of him. And his feelings usually catch up with him after the danger passes. So if we're getting anything about that, it might be after they've left the party.
>>288330833yeah shonen and stuff like this is so commercialized that story suffers majorly. Its not about artistic prowess first and foremost.
>>288331793It's time based, so a private serves normally for two years and if they've met the requirements to be promoted, then they get the promotion. Twilight was also clearly the smartest of his friends both as a kid and an adult, so they likely wouldn't question his reasoning too deeply. They also easily accepted that "Roland" was a nickname for him from other soldiers.>>288331800I think people overestimate how long "spy training" is. Even basic combat training is roughly three months, rounding up. Twilight likely went through another three or four months of hellish training under Handler before being thrown into his new spy assignments.
>>288331800>spy trainingSpy training is part of being a spy. And with how short-staffed they are, I don't think anyone got the luxury of a multi-year training course.>spy over 10 yearsHe did not say over ten years. He said ten years. That could've been an estimate, but it still leaves 29 or 30 as reasonable guesses for his age.

>>288332019>Even basic combat training is roughly three monthsyes and thats basic (often insufficient) combat training, not being a spy ffs, which definitely requires more. >>288332374>>288332552Never mind, I found it. Ten years, just like I said.

>>288332582nah it definitely said "over" in another place. Similar situation to something like 1st chapter like you said, i dont remember this panel. But you win i guess, so congrats
>>288332374>yes and thats basic (often insufficient) combat training, not being a spy ffs, which definitely requires more.Like the other anon said, it doesn't matter, as Twilight himself still considers that part as part of his "ten-odd years as a spy" given his other words about "the day he became a spy". Plus Twilight himself was a special case recruited under the threat of court marshal, and also like the other anon mentioned, WISE always mentions they're short-staffed, even when Roland first met them.>Why does everybody think wise dude recruited him instantly anyway? We dont know the period between that and the deaths of his friendsBecause he's still got his injuries from when he met Franky by the time he boards the train. He even still has the eyepatch on when he's approached by the recruiter, though funnily enough he's not walking with a crutch by the time he meets his friends, so he likely only sprained his ankle and the more severe injuries were to his head.
>>288332583>>288332596These are very funny together. Don't act arrogant and you won't look like an idiot when you're wrong. It's really not that big a deal.
>>288332662To play doubles advocate, the original says 十数年 that google translates as "over ten years" and the first few chapters did have a different translation at first.

>>288332769see, I know I am never wrong
>>288332769I checked the Viz release too and it says "ten-odd years," not "more than ten years" so I assume there's some nuance there that Google translate isn't picking up.

>>288332839google gemini has been running laps lately over other LLMs and it too says over
>>288332874Here it is straight from the volume. I don't know what to tell you. Maybe it's different in Japanese but the official English does not say over ten years.
why doesnt spy x niggamily have more threads and not just on chapter releases
>>288332933Because you don't make them for us.
Honestly with how different the early chapters were compared to the manga, and with how Axeman insists on keeping things vague, I think trying to pin down his age is a futile effort.Early on Axeman was winging it trying to make it stick. And then when it came time to elaborate on what was established it floundered.>>288332933Why should it? Threads without new content result in absolute garbage. Just take a look at any permanent general on this board.
>>288332933There aren't enough spyfags. We just end up having the same conversations over and over because there aren't more people to bring new opinions to the table. Plus, until the past year or so, Axeman was just endlessly stalling so there wasn't anything to talk about.
>>288332979it doesnt have to be permanent ffs, dont be a brainlet that falls into extreme dichotomies
>>288333025I didnt say it has to be permanent. I said there's no new content and therefore would lean towards garbage much like the permanent threads.
>>288333053having one thread on the off weekend surely cant be bad
who made this obscure masterpiece
>>288333095Cause it would die at 15 posts or be kept on life support by animeonly tourists posting random AI artwork until they get bored.Go ahead and give it a shot and report back what you saw. Or just look at the archive at the threads that do pop up when there's no chapter.
>>288332839"Ten-odd years" is like saying "ten some years". It's just another way of saying "more than ten". The manga constantly hovers around that number vaguely, so that you know at least ten years have passed from that time. The official English volume translation was accurate, and it's been over a decade since the end of the war and also since Twilight became a spy.
>>288333182The -odd suffix means give or take, not definitively over. So if the correct translation is over ten years, then the English is incorrect.
>>288333242In Japanese the amount of time is referred to as either 十余年 or 十数年 if it's either written or spoken, where either of these could be translated as "10+ years". I guess you could say the English unintentionally implies that it could be less than ten, but there are more instances of the characters and narration saying "over ten" in other places.
>>288301591kino
>>288333311>>288333242The English translation looks correct to me. 十数年 seems to retain the same vagueness than "ten-odd years", but "十余年" definitely is over ten years.
>another two week waitFUCK
>>288333095I used to feel the same way, but I mean it when I say there aren't many of us. I think there are maybe five regular effortposters spread across the different timezones. Five. You've probably noticed but a lot of the thread is just people giving closed-ended reactions to pages, and that's fine and fun of course, but we'd never be able to keep a thread alive without them.
>>288333450And just when the manga is good again too.But at least it's not going to be a break week right haha. Definitely not.
>>288333480Well at least Mato does a good job covering for SxF when there's no chapterAnd sunday has a lot of good features like Ichi, Centuria, and recently Roku's House of Oddities
>>288333498Adorable
>>288333480I hate that we don't know if it'll be a short chapter until a few days before in most cases. Axeman's never-ending battle of "will I finish the chapter in time?"
>>288333741The taiwan chapter summaries aren't even reliable anymore either. So we don't know if its the end of the arc or not.
Okay, so aggressive poster-kun, I will concede that while the time Loid was officially Twilight is ambiguously around ten years, he's at least been with WISE for over ten due to the war still going when he was recruited. Thus, he is probably over 28. However, this still doesn't mean he has to be at least 31. You're adding a bunch of extra years on here unnecessarily.
>>288332019>It's time based, so a private serves normally for two years and if they've met the requirements to be promoted,I think there's less stringent requirements for promotion during active war time, especially when it involves large scale casualties. If you can do the job, and the guy doing it before you died, you get promoted.
where the fuck is my nice mondadan
>>288333741This chapter was a bit on the longer side for him, so he might actually take a break or make a short chapter next time if the next part gets too long.>>288333858They're accurate when it comes to saying whether the next chapter is a main story chapter, short chapter, or not happening at all since there is no summary when he takes a break. We'll know in a little less than two weeks unless he states otherwise before then.>>288333898We've also got the rough redacted timeline. He met Handler right before the treaty was signed and the war officially ended, and this all happens before his age gets listed again at WISE's official formation.
>>288333858They're pretty reliable still imo. The only times they aren't is when the subject changes a few pages in, which thankfully doesn't happen too often.
>>288333971This was made pretty explicit too with the flashback to the previous war and Martha's unit being forced into active combat with little training.
>>288319177Considering he's giving his body and soul to wise, I think it's natural to think that the next stage is allowing himself to be more selfish. The last few chapters are highlighting that he's not even thinking about strix as means to end war but rather as a way to stay by Anya and Yor's side so you can argue he's already thinking about himself and his fake family.
>>288334112Yor's kisses could fix him.
>>288334264Yor's kiss will break him.And that's a good thing.
