Despite the intro warning about cats and the characters using cats as some kind of curse word cats only appear in about 6 episodes and in 2 of them cats don't even chase or prey on the characters. Roosters on their chicks on the other hand are their actual most consistent threat in the series

Hamtaro is like Rugrats except the equivalent of the adults isn't as fun. I don't care about the human stuff like I do about the parent stuff in Rugrats. It was intended for the shoujo audience so that's a personal issue rather than a knock on the series. The hamster stuff is fun for everyone though. Pure imagination and adventure.
