Reading ahead of the daily and it's really funny how one of the complaints in earlier threads was about how there's so few story cases or story progression, when basically the opposite is true from this point onwards. There's gonna be almost no more cases where the background story (meaning BO et al.) doesn't play some role, be it in the form of the Akai family shit, Bourbon/PSB, Wakasa/Asaka, Wakita/Rum and now Momiji/Iori. Gosho has given up on the detective/mystery part of the series almost entirely (which is at least somewhat understandable given the series' scope atp) and replaced it with one of the most dogshit shonen stories you could come up with, naturally paired with incessant romance baiting to please all the insane people. To do this, however, Gosho had to drop all of the stock characters to make room for the endless stream of aurafarming faggots now. Ai? Basically just a nagging bitch with zero relevance now despite being the supposed creator of one of the focal elements of the series. Sonoko (and even Ran to some degree)? Replaced by Sera for god knows what reason. Kogoro? A complete non-factor who can't even eclipse the usual police gaggle at this point. Why rely on one of your central characters when you can have Bourbon or Akai or Wakasa or Rum or some other PSB retard go >:^j. Just a complete waste.

The case felt very contrived, specially how well she was able to hide so much time but their communication being so difficult and convoluted, but I really enjoyed it and it was a really nice break of the formula.
