The recent concepts in Sakura-centric rewrites are kind of annoying me. Yeah you can kill her parents in the 9 tails attack and brute force her to have empathy with her teammates but she's supposed to be the enfranchised villager who validates Hashirama's system. Just address her shallow crush on Sasuke with her willful ignorance on what he's going through in the land of waves arc. Naruto speaks with Haku which informs his philosophy and values for the rest of his life. Likewise, have Sakura talk separately with the femboy of wisdom and have her devotion to Sasuke queried and broken down. Sakura needs to realize that she's enchanted with an ideal of Sasuke and not the actual person. Nothing she says would satisfy Haku, he'd expose her lack of depth on the matter. This would be a catalyst for her to raise her own standards for herself. She might appreciate things about Sasuke she never noticed before or reach an inflection point where she doesn't find anything about him all that attractive beyond the surface level.
