Sometimes the assistant teacher also teaches things like Art in one hour, and then teaches PE another hour. If the school is big and they have like 3 classes per grade then they'll get a dedicated PE teacher to teach PE every hour of the day, but if they're a a tiny school with 30 kids total then usually the homeroom teacher will teach PE, or the teachers will actually just swap for one period while the other teacher does PE with 2 different grades. For example, the 2nd grade homeroom teacher is really old, but the 4th grade homeroom teacher is still young (relatively young, 45 years old), so for PE the 2nd graders will be taught by the 4th grade teacher while the 4th graders get taught math or whatever by the 2nd grade teacher just for that period.It's literally the same as in America, it depends on the specific situations of the schools and the teachers and the local Board of Education standards. I have no reference for what happens in other countries, but I'd assume they have similar circumstances.
