He clearly has been moved and has found a reason to repent. But this is a paradox that no accpeted theology touches on as far as I know. In theory God loves all His creatures, demons have just chosen deliberately to move out of His Love, so in theory God could be willing to forgive a demon that truly wishes to re-enter His love. I'd say that since God IS love, Bel being able to genuinely and selflessly love Josh would mean he is capable of returning to God, and thus being saved. I'd also say his actions merit redemption, and show a willingness to repent for his sins.

But you put something like Convict Colosseum which has that same heart and passion that Asura did in front of people and you can see that old love flare up. People might not like Imuri but it's not like she's actively ruining the story. It's just a tension with how the writer is going to land the plane of their relationship. Probably the only controversial thing that happened was this chapter with Belphegor undoing the literal apocalypse and even that's not getting as maligned the same way Ohma's return in Omega was treated. I think Josh choosing to stick around and fight with Mikhail rather than listening to Imuri and allowing him to cover their escape is a way to show that their personalities just aren't very compatible.
