I am saying that the overall quality Shueisha offers is quite poor right now, so I don't know why you're acting surprised that this manga has shortcomings. There are many other series with even bigger problems running across the various Jump platforms right now which is, as noted by many anons in this thread, a big reason why Jump and its derivatives are seen as declining.UD has many of its own issues which is why it will be axed, so even if it handles certain aspects you think better than Witchriv, it still has numerous other shortcomings that an editor could have caught.Alien Headbutt is probably the greatest example of editors doing fuck-all right now. If the editor had told Inui to speed up the early fights and introduce even 1/2 of the shit he's dumped in the last 2-3 chapters earlier, it likely would have caught on better. Witchriv has similar pacing issues.
The only way to fix this is more Mira Mira doing cute dumb things without boys around.
