Am I the only one who fantasies that their favorite anime character is real? Like I generally feel love, not lust love, but I feel genuine affection and comfort when I see my favorite character. Why is it so hard to feel the same for live tv shows? What separates anime from live action in regards to fictional characters? Why do fictional characters feel more legit in one medium than the other?
>>
maybe because animated characters are genuinely unique to their character design making them feel like actual individuals rather than acted out. it also makes them more explicitly unreal which eliminates the parasocial bite. kitalove!
