Why wont japs just sell me digital blu-rays? I'm not overpaying for physical media I'll never use.
>>
>>288376632
Buy it rip it sell it
Technologic
>>
>>288376632
just wait for nyaa anon
>>
>>288376662
Waste of time
>>288376709
I stream torrents all day, but I want to support the industry.
>>
>>288376720
Then buy the streaming episodes.
>>
Because the digital blu-rays air on television for free and are uploaded officially for free to streaming platforms?
>>
>>288376753
I don't want to pay for streams, I want to support the people who made the thing more directly.
>>
>>288376632
The simple answer is that they're stupid and bad at business. The Japanese industry is stuck in the 2000s
>>
>>288376632
Once he grew up they probably sold him for meat.
>>
>>288376720
>but I want to support the industry
buy the merchandise, you can already watch the digital things, buy the physical stuff
>>
>>288376893
I don't want a bunch of junk, I just want to buy the thing to give the creators some cash. Digital uncompressed 4k files are perfect, just sell them to me.
>>
>>288376908
>>288376732
>>
>>288376922
I'm buying a third party license to streams and not a digital version of the thing being sold more directly, so fuck off with this they aren't the same.
>>
>>288377136
get this: discless bds are are streaming and not direct download. do this >>288376662 or this >>288376732 there is no in between.
>>
while piracy is rather convenient I dont generally understand why most media companies dont distribute their stuff via direct downloads, you pay 10€ or whatever for a high quality drm free video and store it on your pc
then you can re-dl it from the site later
>>
>>288377213
>why
Because it's a one-time purchase.
>>
>>288376632
>digital blu-rays
>>
>>288377213
because they want to make money, and drm media is stupidly easy to pirate and distribute
companies like gog are extremely rare
>>
>>288379950
>drm media
drm free media*
>>
>>288377213
>Why don't mass market media companies give away the highest quality version of their products to pirates for free?
>>
Just buy physical media like a human being. The alternative is a literal clownworld of increased DRM, all digital, apps for everything, streaming cancer and mandatory Internet connection (monitored) for every little thing.

It's like not using cash, full retard.
>>
>>288376632
You will own nothing.
>>
>>288376732
but then I'd be supporting Bezos since nobody else seems to offer buying individual shows anymore
>>
>>288376720
buy figures, do not waste money on this paperweight shit., I'm tired of it, I love the special editions, but the DRM is too much.
>>
>>288380448
physical media was already a hell world not worth bothering with that no one remembers. piracy took off in the age of laser media not because the laser media was so easy to copy but because the release editions of that media where all bullshit loaded with drm and ads and had awful quality.
>>
>>288380786
how are figures not paperweights, you're wasting money on plastic
>>
>>288376632
just how comfy is he?
>>
>>288380970
>buy figurine
>can look at it
>pretty
>buy disk with video on it
>cant play video
>its just a square box.
>>
Is he okay? Did he dieded?
>>
>>288380448
You know the drm on blu rays is really really fucking cancer right?
>>
>>288380800
you just reminded me of when I used to watch our DVD collection as a kid, I really don't miss having to sit through 10 ads and 5 anti-piracy messages every time
>>
>>288376908
>I just want to buy the thing to give the creators some cash
creators are paid salaries, not comissions
you could buy every single blu-ray in existence and not a single yen would make it to the staff
>>
>>288381130
why wouldn't you be able to play it?
>>
>>288376871
>.t never raised livestock
>>
>>288381248
if you look back at piracy laden vhs era it was loaded with shelves full of official releases at anybodies home, this dogshit absolutely tanked the cost of releases irrevocably. and all because the horrible executives couldnt have ever tolerated the idea that the goyim would be able to view their horrible ads one time like on vhs then rewind to just after that slop. dvds convinced me not to waste my money on physical releases.

bzzzt wrong TV goyim please buy judea approved DRM TV for authentication!!!!
>>
>>288381314
The fuck? Has bluray DRM really gotten this bad? I remember dvds used to play everything with no issue on my tube tv.
>>
>>288381335
my rebellion copy is a paperweight
>>
>>288381335
No. It's just some dude trolling. There is the logo of the company and one anti piracy screen. It's no different than DVDs. It must be a localization issue because I only buy jp bds and I've never seen any fucking ads
>>
>>288376632
if you can afford to "support the creator" enough to make a difference then you can afford to stop being homeless
>>
>>288380448
>The alternative is [headcanon]
I will continue to pirate anime and buy merch
>>
>>288376632
They don't Westoids to determine the market even more with their "taste".
>b-but they are bad at business how could they reject my jewbux
Cope
>>
>>288382765
fun fact, those old OVA people love to praise so much were made as US exports and not because of local demand
you know nothing about the industry
