The dialogue is awkward and cardboard as hell, especially from the MC. The character writing is also frankly bad imo. Diana’s manor of speaking flips between excitable elementary schooler and LLM. She’s an intelligent AI who needs you to explain things a child would ask their parents about, like what a globe is. You also bring her toys to play with, like a basketball hoop and a slide, and she proceeds to awkwardly play on it like the game can’t decide if she’s a robot programmed with control of her own body, or a child with rapidly developing cerebral palsy. Every other interaction completely reeks of the game trying and failing to pander to lonely guys with father instincts. If they just stuck to Diana being a robot you carry around while you explore and they left the poorly executed pseudo-fatherhood simulator out of it, I’d say it’s a decent game. I think it pisses me off so much because it conceptually matches what I might have wanted, but it feels like a monkey’s paw in the form of a board of directors granted my wish.
