Can we discuss the first Cardcaptor Sakura movie? It was rereleased in theaters in my country this week, but while people are praising the animation, a lot of the reactions to the plot seem pretty lukewarm, with many people finding it boring. Do most people actually think this movie is just meh? I’ve always considered it a solid film, even if it’s not as good as the second movie. So I’m experiencing some cognitive dissonance right now.
I also didn't like it as much as the series or the second movie. Not sure what exactly I could point to for why though.
