are tanned tomboys with short hair going to dominate both /a/ and /co/?
>not a single in-season example
>>288433804i can't believe you managed to bait me into watching makeine purely by spamming pictures of this tomboy in spats and bathing costumes
>>288433804Kill yourself /co/ckroach.
>>288433804Easy pray
I sure hope so.
>>288433862>I can't believe you tricked me into watching an excellent anime with cute girls and enjoyable, meta comedySo sorry, anon. It must have been just awful for you.
>>288433910godly sexo, but I fucking hate both of them when they're not fucking
>>288433804Cartoon on the left?
>>288433993Lois Lane from the latest Superman reboot. She got a wave of horny art and minor news reports when they revealed her design.
>>288433917it's mid with one decent running gag (the fat chick's lunches)
>>288434014finally a good Lois Lane design
Honest question here. I wonder how much anime has influenced today's animators. Tjhere's no question Lois Lane there has been influenced by anime with her big eyes and small nose and we know a vast majority are from Korea now. But for american auidences to accept it so readily, it's a wonder if anime would become the norm in animation.
>>288434219I believe in case of the us it's more like asian contractors' influence, they kinda lost 2D that isn't heavily stylized
>>288433804Yes.
>>288434219It makes up roughly 60% of newer western cartoons now and if its not trying to mimic anime, its trying to reference anime all the damn time.
>>288434014>Lois LaneGRIM
>>288435143>copying an uninspired flaming trashfire like SSJGSSJPop culture is fucked upside down.
>>288434131She was smoking hot in the 90s Superman cartoon
>>288434219>Honest question here. I wonder how much anime has influenced today's animators.Well, for one thing when Superman gets into his superhero outfit, there's the transformation sequence which the animator said they were directly inspired from Cure Mermaid
>>288433804
>>288434219Anime aesthetic is firmly in the mainstream by this point. I doubt it will totally replace western style but it will open an underserved niche. In the west, animation is limited to children's shows and sitcoms. I imagine from now on anything that targets teens/young adults or older, and has a decent amount of drama as part of the narrative will likely be done in an anime style to be more palatable to it's target demo in the west. How large of a share that will be remains to be seen. So far, there are only a few recent examples: the OP, castlevania, and (arguably) invincible. Netflix has a few originals but those are still technically anime though they blur the line.
>>288435437Uguu am I cute, Lois?
The new Superman show is dogshit.
>>288435568>I doubt it will totally replace western style but it will open an underserved niche. It might as well already have. Look at all the shit on major streaming sites. Even if you do find something that looks unique, when you watch them they have the writing and plot of your usual Japanese seasonal anime with a huge inferences on "Japanese" and "Japanese mannerisms" so its not just the style, its the writing as well. And that new superman show is so cringe to watch because characters talk like anime characters or someone badly dubbing anime characters. Shit sounds worst than 90's hentai dubs.
>>288435752>because characters talk like anime characters or someone badly dubbing anime characters.they act like anime characters. There're are even chibi shots
>>288435752I'm waiting for some of these anime-like cartoons to have western characters bowing their heads and taking off their shoes inside like Japanese, they copy so much from them.
First and best.Tomochan is pretty good too.
>>288433804/tv/ too!
>>288433804I prefer girly girls with huge tits so no.
>>288435083She was not that skimpy in the LN or anime lmao. But merry much appreciated from Itachi-sensei, also >Nomura a cute
>>288435752How many of these are on major streaming platforms or are they mostly indie animators on youtube?
>>288435752>>288435784>>288435789Why are you angry? Isn't the whole reason why you stopped watching cartoons is because anime had something they lacked? What's wrong if things the world over become more Japanese?Or, are you just angry /co/faggot tourists?
>>288433901>>288436588Damn, I thought we had avoided the newfaggot fitting in posts but we're back. Don't you have a general to lurk?
>>288436126This is like how shmups have the prototype that's vastly superior to the mass production versions.
>>288436395You sure?
>>288436191Hundreds of Beavers was unironically more cartoonish than most modern cartoons. Also she clears nu-Lois, sorry.
>>288436753Every one of those bitches has been an flash and echo of the perfection and harmony of the light that is Kagura; eternal peak tomboy.
I have no idea who that bitch on the left is, but no, /co/ tomboys are dogshit nowadays and don't belong in the same breath as /a/ tomboys.
>>288437741>Hundreds of Beavers was unironically more cartoonish than most modern cartoonsIt's a masterpiece that overwhelms with its vision and execution and it has the perfect parody of everything from Loony tunes to JRPGs. Fucking watch hundreds of beavers.>Also she clears nu-Lois, sorry. Not sorry.
>>288437779>have no idea who that bitch on the left isWHAT!?
>>288437830Also.
>>288436588>Isn't the whole reason why you stopped watching cartoons is because anime had something they lacked?I stopped watching kids cartoons when I was 12 because they were boring, and stopped watching cartoons period after Venture Bros ended.I never went to anime "to escape" cartoons, I watch anime because I like it, and I've been watching anime for 20 years at this point.I don't watch cartoons because cartoons stopped doing things I like (which was mostly comedy, since cartoons were actually good at being funny at one point, but modern American artists are allergic to comedy or fun, so now cartoons aren't even funny), poorly copying anime isn't going to make me watch cartoons when I can just watch anime.
>>288437830She looks nothing like who she's supposed to be.
>>288437878Yeah, and nobody reads newspapers anymore. Going forward Lois is going to have to be a spunky young go-getter who has to compete in the even more cutthroat and lower pay environment of online news. She's going to be younger, spunkier, more competitive and more undeterredly optimistic. In other words, more of a tomboy.
>>288437867You just agreed with me you dumb fuck
>>288437922No, I disagreed with you because I don't want cartoons that are just shitier versions of anime, I just want cartoons that are funny.I'm also 30, so I have no interest in kids shows unless it's something I'm watching with my nephews and I just don't want to be bored out of my mind.
>>288435752looks pretty western to me
>>288433804Threadly reminder that if you like tomboys you are, for all intents and purposes, a homosexual.
