I know i'm late to the party but i finally watched Eureka Seven from my backlog and it was pretty amazing. I feel like the most important characters didn't deserve to die such a horrible death. Is the movie and AO worth my time?Oh also Charles and Ray a best and Eureka did nothing wrong.

>>288434270Hold onWho died?
>>288434270>Is the movie and AO worth my time? No. I watched AO as it came out and it’s not a terrible show in its own right, but it’s an awful sequel and basically leads to Dewey Did Nothing Wrong.
>>288434270The sequels essentially completely rewrite the original series. If that's worth it to see the main characters again is up to you.
>>288434270Don't touch anything Eureka Seven related after the original series(maybe expect the PS2 games, I heard those were alright). It just gets worst and worst and just when you think its over, they double down on shitting up the series. Just pretend the series ended there.
>>288435021>expectexcept*
How did they manage to get a Klingon warship on their hands?
>>288434270Ray didn’t deserve to go out like that.
>>288434378>Who died?William B. Baxter, the guy spending his life taking care of his bedridden wife that can't even talk to him nor show any emotions, and yet his one of the most cheerfull characters. But then they die just before a piece of falling debris strikes and obliterates their farm, killing them both in the explosion.
>>288435021>first installment great>every follow up is worse somehowWhy is it always like this with these iconic shows?
Eureka Seven's last 10 episodes were really bad
>>288434270This shit was so terrible, especially when the three kids get adopted
I only remember the racism episode
>>288434378>>288435422Didn’t everyone in the Scub Coral core die? Also, pointless question, but does this show count as taking place on Earth?>>288435466I could call them rushed or poorly paced, but not bad.
The more I think back on this series it feels like a fever dreamSingle mother with three black children, you want to marry her, but her family treats you like shit and constantly beats you up, especially her stepdad because he wanted to fuck her instead and you "got in the way", then they just abuse the kid for months until he runs away, then they call him a little bitch for running away, but he comes back because he realizes "love is worth the hardship", then he gets shot by her adopted children. Also for like half the show she loses her hair or something. The entire story is like "how far would you go for love" except with no upsides, and everyone just being a dick for no reason. It feels like propaganda for something but I'm not sure what half the time, since the entire experience felt like a combination of "skateboarder vibes" and "everybody loves Raymond" anime version.Maybe try reading the manga since its basically an entirely different story, not in a terrible way.
>>288434270The movie isn't worth watching, and you need to wait before watching AO cause it's a terrible idea to go into it immediately after E7. Basically Bones doesn't know what made E7 great and all their attempts to revisit it are failures, AO is decent if you approach it like fan fiction or an entirely different mecha show but not a direct sequel.
>>288434270>Is the movie and AO worth my time?Everything made after the TV series is terrible, do not engage with them. They are insanely bad.
>>288435996This is your brain on /pol/
>>288434270The Supercar album, Three out change, is the only related thing I can recommend. And it's not even actually related.
>>288435996Please take your meds.
>>288435996>this is horrible, I'll try to atone if a little by caring for these kids I orphaned>BRO WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS INTERRACIAL SEX AND SINGLE MOTHERHOOD PROPAGANDA?
>>288435454Lightning in a Bottle.
>>288435021I'm gonna offer a contrarian opinion (daring today, aren't we?) and say that the Hi-Evo movies (well, mostly 2 and 3) are really good from a metatextual perspective but it does require watching the depressing sequels to get why.
