are you seriously telling me that at one time SIX of the nine shifter titans COINCIDENTALLY just all happened to be at the trainee corps at the same time?
Dead manga
>>288461793>COINCIDENTALLYno
Reminds me of that one Terry Pratchett novel where a girl disguises herself as a boy to join the army, and then over the course of the book gradually learns that every single other member of her squad was also a girl.
>>288461793none of it was coincidence. everything that happened from the moment ymir I got titan powers to the moment Eren and the titan wyrm were killed had already happened due to the feedback loop of being able to send information through time auto-resolving in such a wayyes it's dumb.
Don't know why Isayama set the shifter number at 9. That's just knee-capping yourself.
>>288461793
>>288461793>>288461793+ an Ackermann (super special donut steel bloodline) and a member of the royal family (super secret special bloodline)who writes this shit
>>288462117there should have been 10 shifter titans, at least
Not counting the ones that turn later into shifters..>Ereh>Dollarstore Ymir>Reiner>Berthold>AnnieDid i miss one ?
>>288462430Eren is 2 of the Titans
>>288462439Oh yeah, plot titan and plot titan
>>288461793Don't forget two secret princesses. The series always had plot conveniences, which you could forgive as long as you could still enjoy the story and characters. But once that is lost, its flaws become more pronounced.
>>288462117Don't forget that stupid 13 year life span
>>288461793it makes sense for the warriors+ymir to be there alongside eren, all of them (their titans at least) originate from the same place, so they entered the walls from the south. this military camp is in the south and must draw from a pretty wide area.the real coincidences are that everyone goes to bootcamp at the exact same time. and also historia just happens to be there
>>288461793They are from same area, most of refugees (or pretend to be). Only contrived part was warrior kids camping in same place Titan from Ymir cult was sleeping or Ackermans were in same city as Yeagers or that secret child of real rulers was in that are
>>288462117What's wrong with 9? Its three threes
>>288463008> Only contrived part was warrior kids camping in same place Titan from Ymir cult was sleepingThis one is easy to explain. The titans all come from the same direction too since Marley was used to release them from the very same spot for 70 years.Sadly the rest nowdays will he answered with “MHU PREDESTINATION MHU LOLIMIR” , which i hate with my whole heart
>>288462935>>288463008I don't think you're getting it. If titan shifters were some semi-rare occurence and there were five of them in one training corps that would be one thing. But there's nine total ON THE ENTIRE PLANET. And six of them all happen to be in that one specific group at the same time?
>>288463229Well, four of them come from the very same infiltration team. Yeah, it was by sheer luck that DikeMir joined the army too after eating Marcel, but it kinda make sense since she probably traveled her way until the very first human outpost reachable .The true surprise was having Eren among them with two titans inherited by his father.Anyway, if i’m not wrong the cadets were selected by a specific age range (EMA had to wait two years before joining since the minimum age for the conscription is 12, and the story take place after the 3 mandatory years of training). So if they all were around the same age during the first invasion, it kinda make sense for them to be all recruited within the same group since the trainers are not divided in divisions, but in years (they all where the 104th cadets group)
>>288461793Man Historia is so hot
>>288463451Right, but you do realize how much of an asspull it is that the outsiders just happened to end up in the same place where their mission target also ended up for completely personal reasons? I don't think it ruins the show but it's a testament to how flimsy and weak the plot is when it pulls this crap
>>288463229>I don't think you're getting it.You don't get it. Or maybe quit reading/watching at some point Because it make sense that all Titan Shifters would got to closest city to port where Marley is dumping all devil people. Only coincidence is Ymir meeting infiltrator team
>>288461793OUR FUARKING HEROESand armong
What is his story?
>>288461881Monstrous Regiment, great book.
>>288461793That was the objective of the espionage mission from the very beginning.
>>288461793You could say the "paths" brought them together like this. Which makes total sense
>>288461881thanks for the recc
>>288462117139One Ymir, three daughter walls, nine shifters
>>288463229It's not stupid because four of them were sent to find the guy that holds two, the only coincidence is Ymir ending up where Marcel was heading to anyway
>>288465774You play him in the games
>>288466698If Eren was the one who sent Dina to eat his mom he could also send the shifters to the same unit
It's true that there's a lot of coincidence, but Isyama isn't a very good writer, so he made the setup inorganic so everything would be easier to write. Reiner and Bertholdt go together, and arguably Annie, although she goes her own way, I can understand the convenience of them and Eren but...Ymir's presence is a coincidence, Historia's presence is a coincidence, Eren's presence is a coincidence, Mikasa's presence is a coincidence (because she's from that clan that appeared from nothing and later the plotline was dropped; the poor girl never got any screentime). Everything is connected, and those connections are basically the whole series. The small world is a typical problem of juvenile writers. Main reason why the Ymir subplot appears out of nowhere, if she got screentime it would be too obvious. Although I do think Isyama did a good job at times when it came to revealing the mystery, but overall it's a very convoluted work, especially with that terrible ending.
She's military police tough
>>288461793>Conveniently, there's a huge, perfectly round rock, and conveniently, the army general decides that Eren is conveniently the solution without knowing how his powers work and implying that they have limits, and conveniently, Eren loses control only to regain it, and conveniently, Mikasa falls from a height of 20 meters onto a convenient bed of feathersThe series is full of conveniences and mediocre writing. The Geass inspiration was very obvious
>>288466948>the poor girl never got any screentimeOther way around.Mikasa had too much screentime for how little her character development was, to the point i still wonders how “Shippers” are happy for how her story ended…she is still the obsessed girl she was from day 1 , she literally got burried in the same tree and still with the fucking scarf!
>>288467051Lets be fair. All of this happened in the very first 3-4 volume of the manga.Isayama was still a huge newbie during it.I can excuse it more than the bullshits he played in the last 20 chapters
>>288467086What bothers me most is that all her interactions with Eren consisted of him yelling at her and backing away, while she passively repeated the same thing over and over. How is that true love?
>>288467086She had what I describe as a reverse character developmentShe more adult as a kid
>>288466948good summary
>>288466948nah you sound mad. yes it is inorganic but that doesn't just make it easier for him it makes it better for the audience. them being friends and present on screen often makes the twists have greater impact. as a work of fiction it should sacrifice realism for the sake of impact to some degree.
>>288463661>>288466948WHOGIVESASHIT
>>288469052
>>288467129He had writing issues in the middles sections as well.Don't forget the hardening serum that conveniently appeared right at the moment when Eren needed the ability to save everyone in the cave. And that same arc had several "fake cliffhangers" which made you think something bad happened to our characters, except it didn't.
>>288469052well the manga's only remarkable aspect is the writing and its very flawed, when i read i try to understand what im reading
>>288468452Yes, that's the problem: Isayama prioritizes emotional impact over writing, which makes it not hold up well after a rewatch. It's easy for him because it's simply easier to write, and of course, it resonates with the audience because the show is popular with kids and casual viewers for a reason. That's no excuse for not trying to create a more solid world. Between that and the hundreds of fake cliffhangers or random, ultimately pointless shock moments, it's clear he's prioritizing impact over a cohesive work—one that could have even more impact but requires skill. There's nothing wrong with prioritizing emotional impact though. Your Name impacted me a lot, but it's mediocrely written. Perfect Blue impacted me a lot, and it's very well written.
How does Hange conclude that Titans absorb powers by eating others? In Eren's memory of Ymir, it seems Bertholdt forgives her for eating his friend, and she says she didn't know what she was doing. She uses that as proof that it changed Ymir, but she doesn't know if Ymir was already like that before. And Titans normally eat humans; it seems she's just jumping to conclusions with little evidence, simply because the author needed that piece for the next episode.
>>288462117I'd sooner say shifter titans should had been easier to reproduce or manufacture but just costlier by how stable they can be while in combat form.
wonder if they banged
>>288461793>COINCIDENTALLYSpeed reader, also ANNIE
>>288469052From the same show, probably picrel
>>288462117Pitch me your idea for a titan then.
>>288462117he barely knew what to do with the warhammer titan so the number of titans was on the cusp of too many rather than too few
The Warhammer Titan is such wasted potential. We could have had entire arcs of the worlds history and Isayama just dipped and said "lol now Eren can make spikey things"
Bert, Reiner and Annie were sent to capture Eren. Ymir followed because she got Marcel's memories after eating him so naturally she'd seek them out. She ended up staying because of Historia. None of this is coincidental. You reading shit off a wiki?
>>288470268Probably not considering they both were focused on a tiny blonde girl....actually, nevermind, maybe they did to cope with not actually getting the chance to be with her due to reasons.
>>288472543Dikemir was a dike only because Historia was the sole person that was close to her and shared genuine affection with. She was a dike for chance rather than being into girls to begin with.A good cock would’ve saved her!
Judge and analyse me based on the top nine Shingeki girls that I would smash
>>288461793Read the manga retardThis was the entire point of that segmentThe only 'coincidence' is Ymir, but that's because she's lesbians with Historia
>>288473297>NanabaA man after my own heart, Isayama did her insanely dirty
>>288462430Armin
I still rabu SnK.
>>288461793Stories are a string of convenient coincidences.
>>288472626>A good cock would’ve saved her!maybe mine?!
>>288473378I wish we got more of her but the actress did a great job in her final moments as she lost composure while being eating.
>>288466879That's the part that makes no sense.>if a titan of X type dies will be reborn on random guy from that race since all are connected.>somehow eren got the king titan and shingeki no kyojin.>but following rules king titan should have been born on random baby about to be born without the shackles since wasn't passed down.>eren somehow inherited both when he ate his dad after being dragged to forest just for that purpose when they were running away.Makes no sense at all.
>>288472523>Bert, Reiner and Annie were sent to capture ErenThey weren't, they were sent to capture the Founder, which they thought was held by the royal family since they didn't know it had been stolen, much less than Eren had it at the start.
>Shitgeki no KinoEternal laughing stock of /a/
>>288462117Geez, I wonder why a series with a character named Ymir and a creature similar to Nidhogg would place importance on the number 9.
>>288477006>>somehow eren got the king titan and shingeki no kyojin. You didn't read the manga, or watch the anime for that matter.
>>288477080Butthurt because the manga is shit and plothole made no sense at all.At least if it was "eren dad kidnapped the king and injected eren with both regular titan plus extracted current king titan (sahio or however you want to name it) spunal cord liquid with eren eating both yes it makes sense for eren to have the king titan in him since is what he did to get the armored titan and the warlord titan but wait.... that didn't happen so how does eren got the king titan since it should have been born on random to be born eldian while only getting the shingeki no kyojin.Still makes no sense at all but is clear you love eating shit.>first 3 parts fine.>time skip it went to shit.
>>288473297>>288473378a damn shame
>>288477507>that didn't happen
>>288473297where's the warhammer?
>>288461793It's a shounen series, did you expect some other plot twist?
You titancucks are the most cancerous losers on /a/Congrats.
>>288477006You miss understood. That scenario happens if one of the shifters dies without getting eaten (or better their spine is severed and the titan eating them drink the spinal fluid). If the shifter is eaten by a titan, the titan who eat them inherits the power(s) and return back into human form.
>>288478341Imagine saying this when the one piece fags , the JJKfags and the CSMfags exists. Not even us where so delusional like these guys
