>>288473359I don't care what the local slave laws are, as far as I am concerned if I'm going to be a slave owner its roman rules: you have a debt to work off, and once thats paid in full from your service you're free to go but you can also stick around and earn money as a freed person now if you want to. You do good work, you work off that debt faster, you get free sooner, mutually beneficial relationship. Obviously it would be better if they didn't have slaves in the first place, but we can at least aim for the least shitty version of it possible.
