I didn't really feel this one, man. There are some great individual moments, but I feel like they set the aliens up too well as a threat, to the point I was expecting them to go full Muv Luv, which in turn makes the usual ZLS silliness, well, too silly. And the ending felt way too bitter to me, even if the story tries to sell it as "both" just being Tae. Maybe I should've rewatched the series before watching the movie.

Honestly I loved the movie.Gags the entire way through and just the right beats of drama that fit the series.I'm pretty hopeful that this isn't the last we have seen of sane Tae. Granted being electrocuted wasn't enough to juice her up to regain consciousness over the Sagako curse, this series is whacky enough that eventually they'll find some kind of power source that can temporarily return her sanity in small bursts. Especially considering that the ayylien power source was enough to keep her in control for months after the spaceship got blown up.

the CGI at the finale live was a disappointment but tbdesu other than that this was damn near a perfect zonbiland saga film with the story and gags and animation. bittersweet that lucid Tae finally fades out while full zonbi Tae has a reunion with Sakura and her beloved noggin at the end. did not expect that lucid Tae's excited zonbi growl before the live was actual foreshadowing, hoping we can later get both Taes back and forth somehow
