bad source material = bad adaptationthe mangaka ran out of ideas and Frieren went from a comfy yet melancholy story to generic action slop
it's still Frieren so it's still better than everything else that aired and better than any given arc of FMAB, but nothing fucking happened, nothing fucking happened in anything I watched last season, they all just cockteased big things that will happen in a movie or a new season that they haven't made yet so what was the point in me tuning in now

>>288481262Manga took a nosedive in quality so the anime suffered, when you go from slow travel to discover myself themes to chuunin exams, "psh nothing personel kid" skills and deus ex machina devices regular people wont be as enticed, give it some more episodes and the shonenslop fanbois will flock to it like flies to shit, past chapter 50 it offers exactly what they look for.Still good animation tho.
