Agree on Crayon Shin-chan and Akiba Maid Wars.
I liked Eizouken but wouldn't call it best of it's year.
Same for Madoka and Machikado.

This is the first time I've met someone else who watched Aru Nihon no Ekaki Shounen, I wish there were more anime like it, whether stylistically or thematically. It's such a light watch, but it stays on your mind forever and I have a soft spot for the sentimental atmosphere, kinda reminded me of ppta at times.

Going through different eras made me realize that there always were ups and downs in terms of the amount of shows that speak to me. I feel a little more positive about 2026 now. Also the 70's are too rough, I've tried several times.
