As someone who has barely watched any pre-2000's anime, and most of what I did were OVAs, my perception of what they are is either OVAs (Many who can't do much in their short runtime) or episodic 50+ episode TV anime.Is this correct or am I missing something? I'm considering getting into older stuff.
Depends on the era. 90s and 70s has a lot of shorter series. 80s has a lot of longer series.
