Just a question, isn't a good half of 80s(TV) anime Kodomo anime? Not saying I have an issue with Kodomo anime, but it does seem a lot more disproportionate than it is today, not to mention, Japan had way more babies back then.
Shounenshit is kids anime too (kodomo) but many delusional people REFUSE to accept this fact.
>>288497938the vast majority of old anime is for kids, yeseven Shin-Chan, published in a seinen magazine, was adapted for kids
>>288497953Kodomo meaning like for 5 year olds. Back in the 80s a lot of shonen stuff was too graphic or sexual to be kodomo lol
>>288497938Mmm, I don't know about most as in more than half of the anime released in the 1980's were intended for little kids. I recently watched an interview with Akira Toriyama where from like 1983 where he is talking about having the most popular anime series at the time (Dr. Slump) and being the highest earning mangaka. The 80's also had a shitload of delinquent anime and things like Fist of the North Star.
>>288498391Yes exactly, 80's shonen is much less sterilized than modern shonen.
>>288498391In your opinion who is the target audience of this ad?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=91xb4lYj6bA
anime was better when it was for kids adults and teens ruin everything.
>>288498698Young boys, not toddlers desu
>>288497938We still don't have good subs or Manga translations
There use to be kodomomuke shows that straight up bait otaku back then.
Nothing in this show is as explicit as the promotional images but Lisa was a hot ass fap and peak wife material.Actually all the girls in this show are 10/10, wished it got the Saga game it was supposed to be implemented in.
>>288498698And RoboCop, an r-rated movie, got a tv cartoon because little kids loved it. In order to sell merchandise they're willing to target any demographic
>>288499339yeah almost as if the "80s anime was better crowd" is just noise. It's not a real opinion. It's just nostalgia from people who dont watch anime.
>>288497938No, you see...old good...new bad
>>288499659Or they are smart enough to have learned Japanese.
