Mmm, I don't know about most as in more than half of the anime released in the 1980's were intended for little kids. I recently watched an interview with Akira Toriyama where from like 1983 where he is talking about having the most popular anime series at the time (Dr. Slump) and being the highest earning mangaka. The 80's also had a shitload of delinquent anime and things like Fist of the North Star.
