Honestly it never made sense to me for Kohaku to go over Ryusui now that Stanley is already going anyway.

This was a fantastic episode (tho tbf it had fantastic material).
Was kino seeing Stanley rattle off the firing angle. I'm surprised a mere 2d.p. and the moon's gravity being a sixth of earth is enough to hit a medusa with a bullet though. I feel more precise numbers would be needed.
Stanley hitting the targets despite being out of Francois's sites was cool.
Gen's proposal to scour the earth for Senku's stone fragments gave me a chuckle, but that made just Taiju's declaration afterwards even more potent.
The mega roadmap was amazing to look at. It would have been nice if the anime took advantage of its medium and made the roadmap twice as long.
They successfully set up the suspense that the rocket launch needed.

It would have been cool if we saw even a glimpse of all the factories and supply chains that have now been set up across the world, but I'm still surprisingly happy with this arc and am ready for it to end.

They could have emphasised how stanley needs binoculars or a scope for something far away (whereas kohaku can spot and infer the presence of Whyman or an oil spill from aerial imagery).

At least from this we know they have a corp of craftsmen. Gives a miniscule sense of the scale they are now operating at operationally speaking

I realise this episode is also the first time we have seen the control room, though they would have used it for the prior launches too. I guess the suspense of the launch would be dampened if we had seen the control room before and stuff.

It was awesome when the timer flipped from dark to light. I'm surprised it only took 9 mins to reach orbit.

When I was watching Stone Wars, Ryusui and New World, I would sometimes shiver with anticipation and excitement from the science and teamwork. I was hoping Dr. Stone would make me feel that way again one last time, but I think I knew deep down that the last time passed long ago.
This episode did make me clap though (at Taiju's promise), which is still decent.
Maybe some of the later bookworm episodes will give me that feeling. (I don't think it will.)

I like how they belittle Senku along with other humans, reminding the audience that he ultimately belongs to the same creed as the rest of us. It makes sure that our focus is adjusted away from Senku's ingenuity and instead towards his more relatable, human traits like his persistence and curiosity.
Also their sci-fi nature helps the story concretely posit future tech like time travel, which completes one logical argument of the story. Up to this point we've seen the stone-agers be utterly shocked at seeing science do what they considered impossible. Extrapolating, just because modern-day people may consider something impossible, doesn't mean future science will never in fact achieve it.
No matter how incredulous it sounds, there's a chance it may ultimately become part of the domain of science.
Maybe science will lead to teleportation or time travel or telepathy or immortality, a theory of consciousness or the origin of the universe. Hell, within the 5 years between the manga ending and the anime ending, we've have one such incredible advancement: the AI summer.

Guys, hear me out. I have been waiting EIGHT years for this moment. Some of you might have seen me whine about this back in the day.
Rewind to chapter 50 in 2018, when Tsukasa's army was first introduced. Ukyo, Nikki, and one really happy looking girl who Inagaki promptly forgot.
But this week's episode includes an anime-original shot of many of the villagers and army members we never really got to know -- Carb, Jasper, Titan, Ganen, Alabaster, Tetsuken, among others. And guess who else is there?
Thanks to whoever on the anime staff finally put one of my last lingering complaints about this series to rest.

People were mostly upset at how fast the science moved in the chapters leading up to the moon launch more than the actual bad guy itself. Albeit, now seeing the anime version of this, they handled it very well in illustrating more of the people involved instead of just "here's the goated team of science and everyone else is a retard". So it makes more contextual sense now. Dr. Stone was always gonna be uplifting without conflict, especially when no one truly died in the Stanley Chase arc.

I think as far as friendship is magic goes, I've very much enjoyed my watch through all of it and it is a bit somber to see it finally on the way out. I think they've done a fantastic job of showing how technology, the wants of humans, and how far humans as individuals can change the course of the future, and this episode feels like it's captured the essence of Dr. Stone the best. Making incredible things with incredible people. I think this is the series climax and am sad to see it ending in a few episodes, but it's been a great ride.
