finally, shitposting in the stone world
IT HAPPENING
Does the show get better after this retard got offed? I haven't started science future.
ah yes I almost forgot about Ryusui's fake out character development that gets undone in the next episode. Annoying ass character who is almost as big of a gary stu as Senku
>>288523458The "combat" arcs are the worst part of the series and after that one there's a really long and annoying one and science starts getting glossed over more so meh not really
get ready anons the ending speeds runs after this one
Didn't realize the anime was still ongoing.
>>2885241273 episodes left after today. We're in the home stretch.
>>288524164>>288524127Don't kid yourselves the 4DX chapters are still left after ts
New Key Visual. I'm not ready to say goodbye, bros...
>>288524244MAL and AniList have this cour listed at 13 episodes, and this was episode 10, so 3 more. Unless the studio announces some kind of epilogue special airing later or something.
Art posted by the animation director.
>>288524559Why does Kohaku get a bullpup while Stanley is limited to a lever action?
so the next remaining three episodes should bespace travel with surprise Ryusei joining and moon landingwhy man revealepiloguethe extra chapters are too much to possibly squeeze in unless they just do montage
chances of Boichi doing an actual epilogue after the anime is over kinda like he did with 4d
>>288524583Rule of cool, I guess.
>>288524244That'll probably be a movie.
Dr. RUSH is over, Dr. SOUL is back
I can't believe they actually, FINALLY went to space. I like the show, but we could've shaved off at LEAST three episodes if they had just cut out every catchphrase.
>>288523387taiju be looking like the radio operators in world war 2
>>288524566Wtf was this?
>>288527288Examining Xeno for signs of injury to make sure he wasn't being forced to cooperate, definitely not gay.
>>288523458I don't think so, but I loved Treasure Island and thought it was the show's peak. I'm surprised you are (or at least seem to be) disssatisfied with Treasure island.
>>288524566I'm surprised they animated itIt's by far the most intimate thing in Dr. Stone.
>>288527694I'm glad they made the rocket accelerate rather than immediately go fast.
Honestly it never made sense to me for Kohaku to go over Ryusui now that Stanley is already going anyway.Supposedly her role is combat and agility, but Stanley seems very capable of both, except like this of course now he is stuck piloting, but if Ryusui went then he could focus on that instead.>But muh weightNot even 60lbs of difference according to the wiki.I read the manga back then but I can't remember shit, but I am sure the plot writes it so she does a task there that only she could do or something, but if we are pulling the "we wuz scientists and shit, send the most capable people only" then sending a brainlet like Kohaku isn't the best option in any circumstance.
>>288527475Was it explained?
This was a fantastic episode (tho tbf it had fantastic material). Was kino seeing Stanley rattle off the firing angle. I'm surprised a mere 2d.p. and the moon's gravity being a sixth of earth is enough to hit a medusa with a bullet though. I feel more precise numbers would be needed.Stanley hitting the targets despite being out of Francois's sites was cool.Gen's proposal to scour the earth for Senku's stone fragments gave me a chuckle, but that made just Taiju's declaration afterwards even more potent. The mega roadmap was amazing to look at. It would have been nice if the anime took advantage of its medium and made the roadmap twice as long. They successfully set up the suspense that the rocket launch needed. It would have been cool if we saw even a glimpse of all the factories and supply chains that have now been set up across the world, but I'm still surprisingly happy with this arc and am ready for it to end.>>288527902True, I think the author should have set up some more contrasts between kohaku and stanley to show how they contrasted. They could have emphasised how stanley needs binoculars or a scope for something far away (whereas kohaku can spot and infer the presence of Whyman or an oil spill from aerial imagery).Plus the author made Stanley's agility too high imo.
>>288527902They had literally 0 idea what to expect on the moon. There could have been a moon base that required infiltration and melee combat for all they knew. Stanley can fight but Kohaku is clearly on another level.
>>288523458I think a cool thing about post-Island dr stone is that other characters aside from Senku get some science Ws too.
>>288523025Is he bottom or top? Someone use science to tell me.
At least from this we know they have a corp of craftsmen. Gives a miniscule sense of the scale they are now operating at operationally speakingI realise this episode is also the first time we have seen the control room, though they would have used it for the prior launches too. I guess the suspense of the launch would be dampened if we had seen the control room before and stuff. It was awesome when the timer flipped from dark to light. I'm surprised it only took 9 mins to reach orbit.
>>28852819910 billion percent bottom.
>>288524244They will either don't bother to leave it in a "go buy the manga for the best ending ever", or go for an OVA, I hope...
>>288528294I realise another way Inagaki could have presented this world is by just showing what other characters were upto in a panel. Chelsea could be in Africa, investigating the new climate. Brody might go abroad to put his industrial engineering skills to work. I'm sure Senku, during the timeskips, did a few more tours of the world to sync up with people
>>288524244I still haven't read them. Are they good?
>>288527902Not really an in-universe explanation, but Kohaku provides that necessary stone-age perspective
>>288523085indeed
>>288523271Anon...

>>288523085Is it just me, or does he look sad in that scene because he saw Ryusui crying?
why is xeno such a homosexual that scene was so uncomfortable dude
>>288530802maybe Stanley was giving Ryusui a way to save face
>>288530804he just thinks stanley is ELEGANT
When I was watching Stone Wars, Ryusui and New World, I would sometimes shiver with anticipation and excitement from the science and teamwork. I was hoping Dr. Stone would make me feel that way again one last time, but I think I knew deep down that the last time passed long ago. This episode did make me clap though (at Taiju's promise), which is still decent.Maybe some of the later bookworm episodes will give me that feeling. (I don't think it will.)
>>288530471>Can't wait for people to flip their shit about its identity again.I've somehow managed to avoid any spoilers on the ending in spite of frequenting these threads since it started airing. Unless it's aliens, which would be the most poorly kept secret, and the most obvious "twist" of all time.

Kind of uneventful season but everything wrapped up nicely, doomposters in shambles, having Minami narrate the launch made me actually feel the whole world coming back to life to watch this event live, truly the heroes of humankind.

damn so chrome making that heat pad is the last thing he doesI guess chrome and suika convincing the rest to do a 2-way trip was their big moment, but it would have been nice if they backed up their words and became heads of their own divisions/projectsThey successfully did this in season 1 where suika was responsible for the gold wire, chrome for melting the tungsten and kaseki for the vaccuum pump

>>288540332it takes senku 2 years after awakening to revive tsukasa, and he spends another year to beat himAnother year is used to build the Perseus. Treasure Island and the America arc each take a couple weeks. Building Perseus Mk2 takes another year. He returns to Japan within a few months and then spends like 7 years completing the rocketsSo 17+2+1+1+1+7+= 28Other characters may be 27 or so.A useful benchmark is Chrome being the same age as Ruri now.

>>288527902Kohaku isn't that much of a brainlet, just uneducated She gets a pretty good grasp of anything that's actually explained
>>288540258Tis the season
>>288540688fan theory is that the reason why they all still look so young is because the medusa keeps them young. So even though Kohaku may be 28, she still has the body of a 20 year old or so
>>288540819Is that also the reason all the guys come outta the rocks jacked
Medusa didn't cure Stanley's nicotine addiction OR homosexuality
>>288528352Really good, actually builds up towards an epilogue worthy progression unlike the manga Only to end a stupid bitch nigger faggot RETARD CLIFFHANGER FUCK YOU
>>288540845No, that's just because they only revive people who are either elite in their field, or very jacked and useful as manual labor. Tsukasa was completely right, nobody wants useless eaters. The Perseus couldn't have even been built without the 100 muscular men from the empire of might.
>>288541330It's an open ending with a touch of ambiguity
Anime only here, how the fuck is he going to completely bring society back to modern times in just 3 episodes? I saw some manga panel of Gen riding in a modern car in a city highway so I'm confused
>>288541856it's cute how xeno doesn't resist at all and lets stanley tilt his head

>>288542537eh, the first hint was Yuzuriha and Taiju. But even as 28 year olds that have successfully brought mankind back, are still acting like 12 year old virgins. Same with Chrome and Ruri.
>>288542300After the anime I recommend reading the epilogue manga 4d its only 3 chapters and I don't think it's gonna get animated Maybe as OVA with the Blu-ray release but that's a long shot However they don't explain much there as well it just shows how much society has progressed in the Stone World like a year after the show ends, regarding your question
>>288523458he was more gay than Stanley, He wanted to fuck ginro instead of Kohaku
>>288527694It was better in the manga

>>288544141i quite liked iti dont need sex propaganda in my science show
TITLE DROP
>>288525078The science speedrun was incredibly soulless, felt like they were pushing in the seasonal invention quota
I read through the manga a while back long after it ended but what was the reaction to the reveal that Whyman were just a metal ayylmao colony who just thought they were helping humanity? I take it everyone thought it was lame
>>2885451031-2 more episodes anon
>>288545103i loved itI like how they belittle Senku along with other humans, reminding the audience that he ultimately belongs to the same creed as the rest of us. It makes sure that our focus is adjusted away from Senku's ingenuity and instead towards his more relatable, human traits like his persistence and curiosity. Also their sci-fi nature helps the story concretely posit future tech like time travel, which completes one logical argument of the story. Up to this point we've seen the stone-agers be utterly shocked at seeing science do what they considered impossible. Extrapolating, just because modern-day people may consider something impossible, doesn't mean future science will never in fact achieve it.No matter how incredulous it sounds, there's a chance it may ultimately become part of the domain of science. Maybe science will lead to teleportation or time travel or telepathy or immortality, a theory of consciousness or the origin of the universe. Hell, within the 5 years between the manga ending and the anime ending, we've have one such incredible advancement: the AI summer.
>>288544847I think I felt that way when the manga chapter came out, but now my views towards it have changed for some reason. Maybe I'm just that desperate for that final morsel of crafting.
>>288540556I don't think it's been more than 10 years all in all, I say they are all around 24 by now.>>288540819Sure, this helps, but also, everyone stop growing up at 16-18, the characters we know wouldn't look much different at 28, any tiny detail like a woman wrinkling up with each year couldn't be seen in any anime.

nice use of the moonalso wow the rocket really is massiveWould this be the largest vehicle created so far? It would be nice if the stone-agers and maybe even modern day people commented on the vastness of these rockets, especially compared to the payload
I don't believe joel and kaseki only met up nowMan Inagaki could at least have given us a photo montage of events during the rocket's construction, like he did for the perseus' construction.

Guys, hear me out. I have been waiting EIGHT years for this moment. Some of you might have seen me whine about this back in the day.Rewind to chapter 50 in 2018, when Tsukasa's army was first introduced. Ukyo, Nikki, and one really happy looking girl who Inagaki promptly forgot. But this week's episode includes an anime-original shot of many of the villagers and army members we never really got to know -- Carb, Jasper, Titan, Ganen, Alabaster, Tetsuken, among others. And guess who else is there? Thanks to whoever on the anime staff finally put one of my last lingering complaints about this series to rest.
>>288553306Damn, I would never have even noticed this, I don't think I ever took any note of this girl at all back when I was reading the manga. Was that literally the only panel she appears in?
>>288553306Jeez man, that panel of the happy girl unlocked some ancestral memories in me. I must have seen your posts ages ago and internalized them or something. She is like the Soyuz of the Empire of Might except she never got any further development.

>>288556184>Also I guess in my mind the colored pages with different designs and characters in space got stuckI was considering that maybe you were thinking of these too, and tried to find them myself, but I totally forgot in what chapter they were featured in. I looked over 40 chapters or so and couldn't find it and decided to give up.I know I saved the picture on another harddrive, but was too lazy for that to pull out now
>>288553306I like how you can spot the ishigami villagers by their knotsthere seems to be about 20 at most, which checks out
>>288545103People were mostly upset at how fast the science moved in the chapters leading up to the moon launch more than the actual bad guy itself. Albeit, now seeing the anime version of this, they handled it very well in illustrating more of the people involved instead of just "here's the goated team of science and everyone else is a retard". So it makes more contextual sense now. Dr. Stone was always gonna be uplifting without conflict, especially when no one truly died in the Stanley Chase arc.I think as far as friendship is magic goes, I've very much enjoyed my watch through all of it and it is a bit somber to see it finally on the way out. I think they've done a fantastic job of showing how technology, the wants of humans, and how far humans as individuals can change the course of the future, and this episode feels like it's captured the essence of Dr. Stone the best. Making incredible things with incredible people. I think this is the series climax and am sad to see it ending in a few episodes, but it's been a great ride.
>>288557224yep if the enemy was actually unforgiveably malicious then it would just be incongruous with the parameters dr stone has erected of nearly everyone being logical, reasonable and agreeable and problems being solvable by science:tm:It wouldn't make sense for the the villain to be defeated via brutish subjugation when senku doesn't brutishly subjugate his enemies before, aside from ibara
