the writing of this show and especially the villains has become so ultra dogshit that I'm basically just in it for the love of the game at this point. I've watched so many episodes with Rimuru and his gang to the point that I just wanna spend 20 minutes a week living in Tempest. I miss my goat Clayman, man, just in general the Moderate Harlequin Alliance, when villains still meant something. It was still power fantasy anime, but they were villains you had fun hating, with Rimumu aurafalming and commencing TFD (Total Falmuthian Death). Now the villains are so... nothing. I'll be watching until the end because I'm this far in now, but still. I'm an animeonly FWIW

Milim is one of the strongest beings in the franchise.But no, Rimuru really can fight Veldora to a stalemate as Veldora admits in the Vacation spin-off. Rimuru is an unreliable narrator who constantly underestimates himself. But he can be quite scary, cruel and even a bit yandere-ish, when taking things seriously.

He's not very creative, or even particularly aggressive outside of playful roughhousing. Rimiru, though, is dangerous because of his broken / highly diverse skill set, which is also backed up by a tremendous amount of magicules, enough that even if he's not in the same league as Veldora or Milim, he's at least able to contend with them. You put that level of power with his own isekaijin knowledge + Raphael to cobble together new skills and spells for him on the fly, and Veldora probably would lose to Rimiru if they fought seriously. Milim, though, has a nuclear option that I don't think Rimiru can deal with, even with Beezlebub.
