Why are Pokemon and Digimon happier anime than Hunter x Hunter? I didn't like how misery and talky Hunter x Hunter is. I prefer the happy vibes of Pokemon and Digimon. Digimon got dark at times, especially Tamers, but even when it was dark, it wasn't as dark as HxH is. All three are shonen action series.

Misery and Darkness can be do well, it's just so happens that HxH is garbage for kids

Do young people even like digimon, I can't find anyone under 30 that is interested

Why would you subject yourself to the whims of children?
>>
>>288555898
Because I'm twenty and wanna talk about the show with people my age and not 30 year olds while I catch up on all the old content

Good, it's shit now

Pokemon was made to promote the games
That said, Pokemon actually traumatized Japanese children with the Porygon episode

Ha
Speak for yourself
Vamdemon killing Pumpkinmon and Gotsumon terrified me and gave me nightmares as a child

Pokémon already had the goldmine before the first anime episode even aired, thoughever. That one title Game Freak has been remaking since the 90s together with the Nintendo brand has always been the driver behind the franchise's success. It's not like Digimon didn't try all that sellout shit you mentioned, but come on now anon. That kind of popularity was never in the cards almost no matter what they did. If you compare Digimon to other big franchises that branched out from anime/manga like, say, Yu-Gi-Oh! or Gundam, you'll realize that they actually did quite well for themselves, all things considered.

Except that Red and Green flopped at first until somebody found out about the Mew glitch

Gundam? Really man?
Gundam is the 2nd biggest Japanese property after Dragon Ball

Digimon anime at least was massive back then
The LCD games were actually extremely popular in Japan when they came out, but not so much overseas

The guy is right
Frontier anime bombed in Japan
They didn't like the kids becoming the digimon gimmick
Then after that they did weird shit like Savers

misery=deep to hxhfags

Because they are made for children.

Ah, you're right. Turns out I was looking at some dubious revenue stats. In my defense, I'm way too sleep deprived to check sources. We're agreed at least that success in the same ballpark as Pokémon was never feasible without a smash hit video game (series) or some other freak outlier way beyond what a TCG, merch, or less experimentation with the anime can do, yes? Cheers

>why is anime made for selling toys to children more light hearted than sophisticated philosophical literature for adults

HxH is for kids too isn't it?
