People sometimes say reading manga is better than anime because ''faster'' but if anything I feel like anime does it better because it's condensed visual form by an entire studio. In manga I find myself often reading pages again if it's ''complicated'' stuff but when it's anime, I never need to.

I hate to use this terminology but when you read a good manga you can feel like in some sort of flow state which makes you build your own reading pace while watching is a passive activity so you don't have the same control

I do sometimes rewind for more dialogue heavy anime

I spend 40 minutes watching a 24 minute episode because I'm busy taking pictures and translating lines to make sure they're subbed correctly

But I'm reading with anime too and usually the lines are that of the mango

You always watch anime at 1x speed. In manga, you can scroll through pages quickly but only if you have 20000iq+.
