Last two episodes were pretty good, so I'm making another thread so people can discuss them further.

How would Akiyama perform in>Washizu Mahjong>The Bog>Protoporos?
>>288644234What are those?
I find surprisingly how popular Nao is between anime watchers.
>>288644279Arcs in Akagi, Kaiji, and Usogui
>>288644300Don't you mean "unpopular"?They seem to hate her, and I don't blame them. She only shines later.
>>288644234I think he can do good in the bog because he probably has a good sense for engineering given what he tries in the vaccine game... but the bog was pretty damn miraculous win for Kaiji and I'm not sure Akiyama would be as crazy to try what Kaiji didWashizu mahjong might trip him up, it's REALLY hard and not really in his skillset, although he has psychology on his side this is more of a dance with deathBasically Akiyama is better for big social games than small gambles
>>288644582Delete your post and spoil it next time.
>>288644234Akiyama's actually way lower power level than most gambling manga MCs. Like his ultimate win record is great but he tends to compromise a lot on his victories to get there, eats Ls along the way or reduces the scale of his victory conditions. He couldn't actually survive in most series. And to Liar Game's credit, it's basically the only gambling manga that goes to the end without any real bullshit moments where every strategy is fully reasonable to arrive at. Akiyama's just really grounded in being a realistic level of competent without ever seeming super human.
>>288644582Yeah, it's why I tried to ask about games that best fit his skillset (save for Washizu mahjong, but all major Akagi arcs are mahjong so we might as well ponder about the most iconic one). I do see him beating Protoporos though>>288644915I've only been following the anime, but I can see that
>>288644915
>>288644031I can't wait for The Dating Game where Akiyama schemes to get Nao to pick him and then eventually they get married and live happily ever after.
Most zoomers have already dropped the anime.
>>288646046No-one cares what they think
>>288646046Most zoomers were dropped on their heads.
>>288646046I remember how 5-10 years ago you had millenials accusing zoomers of being millenials, and I thought we were smarter than that because no way we'd be accusing gen alpha of being zoomers soon after. But it's happening more and more
>>288646046Zoomers only watch anime to autoinsert themselves onto the MC; since they can’t do that with Nao, or it hurts them to try, they end up hating Nao and stop watching the show.I like Nao because it cracks me up when people trick her and then she turns the tables on them.I never try to autoinsert myself onto the MC; I just enjoy the story, something zoomers seem unable to do.
>>288646046It's badly animated
>>288644915He's actually pretty shit when it comes to manipulation and psychology and all that.Well, no. he's not shit, but he's worse than other gamnling MCs. Even Yuichi from Tomodachi game can beat him on a pure social game.Where he excels at is math.If the game has any form of numbers or statistics/probability manipulation, he'd crush it.That's why he feels so grounded. Math is a quantifiable measurement of intelligence in the real world.
>>288644234going along with this, how would akiyama perform on the tv show Survivor? He has a mediocre social game, presumably middling athleticism, but high spec in strategy. All of that seems moot since he'll probably shit the bed at final tribal
