Notice the similarity? Kengan Ashura is the tournament, and the second part is similar to Omega. Now here comes the real problem. Sandro finished the tournament. He never finished the second part. So while he got a mulligan in the tournament to rewrite it in Ashura essentially, his rewrite of the second part only went so far because he never finished it.And I say rewrite because the FOTS tournament is basically a poor prototype for Ashura's. There's one of Hatsumi's relatives, Cosmo's future teacher, a guy who's basically a combination of Raian and Kiryu Setsuna, a Kuroki/Agito equivalent fight except Agito wins, and even some of the plot structure is the same (the Kiryu equivalent gets defeated before facing the hero by the future tournament winner, for instance).But it's nowhere near as good. The characters aren't as well developed, some of ashura's strengths are huge weaknesses instead (for instance the winner is literally just a giant strong guy who one shots nearly everyone with hammerfists and can reheal any wound by flexing) and the weaknesses are worse (instead of Ohma getting past Waka by plot armouring all his punches and demonsbaning, Mentaro beats Joji because the latter trips on a hole created in a previous fight). So we're basically getting a first draft from Sandro with post-50 Omega and it sucks.
