People have said in the previous threads that the other teams from Konoha 12 should've been replaced with guys from the other nations, and honestly that sounds like an extremely good idea. It would've excused how they never do anything useful because they're not supposed to be in Konoha with the main characters. It would've helped flesh out the worldbuilding, which was kind of the whole point of the chunin exams. Naruto meeting some old friends again after the Pain arc only to learn that they now want to kill Sasuke would've been really impactful, instead of dropping so many literal whos from the Cloud, Stone and Mist in one arc, and then pretend that we're supposed to care about them. Maybe only keep Guy's team around so that they could still act like the seniors of Team 7? And maybe make it so that, instead of Hinata, Neji has a beef with a team from the Cloud. You could probably use Tenten a lot more, too, since now there are less Konoha characters to juggle. Maybe have her be Sakura's rival instead of Ino.
