And this is from a guy that actually likes Nozawa's Goku. It's also cool just how close dub Kuwabara sounds to the original, the only fitting voice.
It really isn't, and I say this as a hueanon who watched my own country's dub, the american dub and the original.

How many of them actually experienced both recently.For example, Yu Yu Hakusho falls under that category. Don't get me wrong. The dub is not bad. In fact, for the time period it was created in, its above average compared to other dubs that were coming out. The script has its moments. Maybe some like it that the dub leans harder into Yusuke being a delinquent that is not as obvious in the sub. The voices, taste may vary, but at least for the mains, they fit. For some of the more minor characters, there are still many awkward and weak performances. However, there's nothing really special about it, I fail to see what makes it better then the original, so I don't get why it has that reputation, you don't see that with Gundam Wing or G Gundam dubs, decent dubs, maybe even better then some modern day dubs due to lack of retarded localization. Like, there's a dub for Shichinin no Nana, and I think this random ass anime from 2002 has an objectively better dub compared to Yu Yu Hakusho. However, one big negative is that there are times where they just add in shit to the script that were never in the original, changing the implications of the scene. The biggest odd one is the omission of Toguro obsession with aging and hating Genkai for becoming an old hag as a motivation of why he wanted to become a demon. Harder to forgive that type of shit.

And regarding Toguro's views on aging, he did say as much to her during their fight, and this is echoed by his brother.
