I think the base quality of animation is up but the total package is down.Like MOST old anime had some obvious episodes that had 0 budget. But then you'd get an episode that was way better than the rest. Or a medium episode that had low budget but some important scenes with high quality animation segments.Now I feel like everything is like slightly better than the worst of old anime but nothing ever gets to the high quality of old.
