This would have shattered both SasuSaku (punishing and warning against blind love/lust) and NaruSaku (making his pivot to Hinata far more natural), intensified Naruto vs Sasuke, paralleled Kakashi killing Rin and made Obito a direct and personal "bad timeline you" for Naruto to figure out and overcome, and become the entire dramatic and thematic context for Naruto to both defeat and forgive Sasuke in the end. Additionally it would've spared both Sakura and the audience from her pointless depressing legacy existence, and Sarada is obviously Karin's.
