Every character and side in this story is unlikeable. This is what real gray morality looks like. It leads to a story where none of the character journeys are enjoyable because you don't care whether anyone lives or dies. It's also implausible to have a storyline where an alien helps with killing all aliens. Even if he was persecuted for being a minority alien, there's no way you could reasonably trust that. This manga is too complex for its own good. It's like stupid complexity where the author thinks he can just write anything and it will be bought by the audience.

It's probably bad timing as their focus arrives at Kitami's lowest point, but Nomamoto was a completely disappointment after the first chapter. I know it's obviously a plot point but her personality is almost like she's a mascot and not a real character. Backbone hurts as a character from being associated with her. Kitami had just had a very disappointing moment. Haruo and Kitsch are by far the most likeable and interesting characters in the manga and had a more interesting partnership than the MCs.
