Cool but it'll never measure up. Expect CGI armies and horses and QUALITY all around.
>>288738336too bad the manga shat the bed and ending
>>288738742Holy filtered
>>288738742?It hasn't ended yetIt's just gone bimonthly or some shit
>>288738742Tell me how it ends, O wise time traveller from the future
>>288738336I recognize that bugle!
yaynow when's next chapter and how many pages?
Lucas will avenge eren
>>288738849It's already confirmed in the final arc, and they sent it to die in a quarterly magazine, not bi-monthly, just 4 chapters a year
>>288739124Oh jeez I forgot it was that bad
>>288738336Hopefully we get decent staff and director, god know it needs one to be good
>Ruka saw the threads after isekai fags and snk schizos start watching the anime
>>288738336hopefully they just skip the preggers arc what the fuck was that
>>288738742It's ending, but I don't how that's bad. It doesn't feel rushed at all. Every plotline/character arc either has already ended or is gonna be adressed soon. More filler would only hurt the story
>>288738742Can any of you guys please explain this I don't want to get too invested something if it fucks up at the end
>>288740625It hasn't ended and anon was just shitposting.
>>288740659Okay I just don't want another attack on titan ending shitfest
Hardest shark jump of any manga I have ever read. I shan't be watching.
>>288740684The manga and it's protagonist iare actually based unlike AoT
>>288738336Pretty skeptical but we'll see, nothing short of a really strong adaptation will look decent. And god forbid if this is on a tight budget, then it will look pretty disgusting with how much of it revolves around armies.
>>288740684To his credit, the last handful of chapters have had some questionable decisions, but nothing outright bad or offensive. We have yet to see if it sticks the landing, but there's no reason to doubt right now. And regardless, it has been a thoroughly enjoyable ride so far.
>>288740241Also going to have to deal with "omg pedo anime, he likes a little girl in an adult woman's body" posters.
Guess that's why they switched magazines for bigger breaks. Need more time to work with anime production staff
I rabu Cora
>>288738336finally
>>288738336Nice
>>288740313It was kino, you philistine.
>>2887406251) Hasn't ended yet2) Yes there is a point where the events of the story get reframed and it was a dealbreaker for some people. Yes it's foreshadowed and hinted very early in the story, but you have to admit that it was just there in the background and could've been considered a quirk in the worldbuilding. Once it's expanded on you could say it wasn't what the people were expecting and it was a turnoff. You're kinda either on board with it or you're not. I wouldn't say it's that super divisive, but you definitely can see what camp people are in when discussing it.
>>288742089its infinitely funny to me that Luca got reverse pedod on
>>288738742It got better with each new chapter.>endingAll good stories end.
>>288740774Ereh was based for a while...
>>288740241>>288742089On the plus side, Poppy hate will rise exponentially.>>288744622Based Corabro.
>>288738336is it going to be an overhyped flop like himekishi and WHA?
>>288748056it was so ass they literally swept it under the rug instantly and never talked about it again. genuinely just pure shit
>>288738742>endingthe pacing does get really fucked up in the latest arcs but it hasn't endedI hope the anime is a huge success and the mangaka decides to let the story breath a bit before ending it
>>288749915No idea where Himekishi was hyped, but no Sensou Kyoushitsu is actually pretty damn good.
>>288749966it's on the final arc and clearly rushing towards the end
>>288749966I think the pacing has always been fast
>>288748371NTA but now I'm more interested.
>>288738682Most likely this. Oh well.
>>288738742The last chapter was absolutely incredible, the fuck you're talking about.
>dark fantasy partially inspired by modern ARPGs like from software games, as well as with a clear x-men inspiration>MC is literally Miquella in the making>insanely cool and varied action scenes, with full scale wars and super powered characters combining their powers in creative ways >very fun character cast, each one is batshit in their own way>even has a romance subplot with anons fiercely arguing about the best girlI genuinely wish it got a worthy adaptation because it rides on zeitgeist like almost nothing else right now. Same with Choujin X which has a massive potential too.
>>288752311It really has everything to be the next big thingbut my expectations are low.
>>288738855Futurists? In MY papal bugle practicing forum!?>>288740625It's kind of the same situation as the basement reveal in SnK where the big mystery box is finally opened and the story takes a whole different perspective and direction. You're either fine with it or you're not.
Never in a million years would I have imagined that Bugle Call is getting an anime before Centuria and Tower Dungeon, or getting an anime at all to be honest. I'm the guy who dumped it for like a year, but after the village of the futurists I kinda started to lose interest and ultimately drifted away from the manga.
>>288755303Centuria's anime is just a matter of time. After that animated Tower Dungeon CM I hope we break free of 3DCG Nihei adaptations.
>>288755303Centuria is ass. It adopts the dark fantasy aesthetics, but it's just a boring and rather shoddily written shounen at heart. The current fight is fucking pathetic, i actually laughed at this team of miserable jobbers.
>>288755683It's literally the best "shounen" on the market right now.> The current fight is fucking pathetic, i actually laughed at this team of miserable jobbersAre you retarded? They're clearly meant to be jobbers, no serious fight has started yet.
>>288755727>It's literally the best "shounen" on the market right now.I wouldn't rank it among the top 10, even though the present state of shounenshit is kinda miserable to begin with. Among fantasy shounen it loses to fucking Four Knights of the Apocalypse in terms of writing quality.
Whats Centuria and Tower Dungeon about? I really liked Bugle Call, will I also like those ones?Or are there any quirks in the story which made you interested in it? For me it was lucas gf being stronger than him which got me into bugle call.
>>288755727Bugle call is shonen
>>288752173just imagine the discussion that Zoe will create lol
>>288756530It's soft seinen now (soft seinen is when you can count the yearly chapters on one hand)
>>288756575By this logic black clover is soft seinen*wink *wink*
>>288740241On the bright side, if the adaption does it justice then the fights will be pretty cool to watch. If they get ambitious with it, anyway.
>>288756641We'd need an oil baron funding this shit or a very passionate director and staff. It's not impossible I suppose, and I want a good adaptation as much as anyone, but the opposite is far more likely.
>>288756685Something like Yuusha keiDon't know how that one got such an adaption
>>288756314Don't know about Centuria, but Tower Dungeon is really not that great. It starts as somewhat dark and focused minimalistic adventure and turns into a wholesome redditslop with ridiculously overbloated cast of characters
>>288756782Yeah I hate that rat!
Is Lucas the first shonen MC to get mpregged? By a tree, no less
>>288757032By me actually
>>288756314Centuria and bugle call both have a normal guy suddenly finding himself in the middle of supernatural medieval warfare he didn't ask for but deals with because he's come to care for people involved as well. Centuria is more small scale battles and smaller cast bond building but both have a similar vibe of mystery behind the scenes and an innocent Mc getting more experienced and jaded as things go on. Centuria action is much less creative and interesting but I like the character drama more personally.
it will be good to be back to more weekly discussions

>>288757324
>>288756314Tower Dungeon is very stylish, and the characters are fun, but for the life of me I have no idea where the story is going. Right now it could go either way. Also, the art style has become less detailed, which disappoints meCenturia feels a bit inconsistent to me. It has some incredible high moments, but those are strung together with writing that feels like something I would have written in middle school. It's worth noting that it's mostly a shonen battle manga in a dark fantasy setting.I recommend at least trying both.
>>288756314Neither of them are all that similar to Bugle Call, it's actually surprisingly unique, especially the full scale combat aspect.Tower Dungeon is Nihei's take on a fantasy dungeon crawler, he takes fantasy tropes and spins a bizarre biopunk/transhumanist version of them while staying entirely in confines of fantasy genre. Centuria is just your bog standard shounen with a dash of dark fantasy on top. It doesn't go deep enough into the dark aspect of dark fantasy, the antagonists are caricaturish bumbling idiots and assholes, and the combat choreography is quite honestly ass.
>>288757727>the art style has become less detailedGaranma getting simplified is really what hits hardYou can definitely tell but I don't think the art has changed that much over all
Kek what a bozoWell I'm read up to the end of chapter 23 now
>>288758350Carl was a real human bean
>>288755727Centuria is not even the best shonen of its own magazine, lmao
>>288760693Not everyone is into cuck fantasies.
>>288760693That would be MAD, and it's not even close.
can't wait for the cute femboy that toots all day so he can learn how to play an instrument but becomes a weapon of war after bonding with the other weapons. he should have fucked that noble girl that was throwing herself at him instead have that dumb bike ride.
>>288761174>dumb bike ride
>>288761365>young girl in a hag body>taller and stronger and tells you you're weak>envious whenever someone gets too handsy >comes back when nobody else didBROS
>>288760835this just reminds me of abara
>>288761419
>>288761458Pouting Zoe was the cutest part of the mangaI should make a compilation on my next read
>>288761476
>>288755303I'm glad because it's honestly the best of the three. Tower Dungeon had a strong start but I'm not as invested in the newer chapters.
>>288761419>comes back when nobody else didCora genuinely came back faster. I do love Zoe too, but she's more like sister vibes to me. It's why I like the Cora ship more.
>>288755303>futuristsI stopped there too but at the time there were no more chapters. It's been a while so I might read more.
>>288761458
>>288756314Tower Dungeon starts really strong because Nihei can produce really intriguing designs. In my opinion it has fallen off significantly, but it is still fun to keep up with... I just like the initial setup of the adventure way more. This isn't really a big spoiler, but just in case: the series ends up with a massively bloated cast and drops what the other Anon called a more minimalistic adventure. There's also a specific plot element I hate which are some thought communication rings which have overstayed their welcome and really cheapened character interactions for me. I really liked the smaller party from the start, the smaller scale and more emphasis on smaller scale, more focused dungeon exploration and survival. Centuria is.. a fun shonen with a very cool dark fantasy skin. How much you enjoy it depends on how much you can enjoy shonen. It also contains a hilarious amount of evil women to the point that most characters are such, and I find this to make the threads really fun to follow..>Bugle is a shonen tooI know the well is poisoned on these topics but it's safe to say it's not what you expect when you hear shonen and is one of the examples of it being labeled as such due to the demographic of the magazine and not because of the tropes. Centuria has more of what you'd expect from a shonen.
>>288761639That part was a massive turning point for the readers, I see Anons that dropped it there, I personally thought the manga got better from that part onwards, well, specifically from the village arc onwards. I've said the same in other threads but I think everything post-village is the best part of the manga, nostalgia for the amazing MIrror arc nonwithstanding.
>>288761634Coura lost when I saw the ponytail
>Zahid and Oscar's awkward childhood-friend yaoi shenanigans put to motionWaiting for more info is gonna be nerve-wracking.
>>288761813no idea if the futurists is better, maybe ill read it tonight
>>288756314As a Bugle Call enjoyer, my advice is to pick Choujin X instead. It happens in a contemporary fantasy setting a-la Final Fantasy 8 with a blend of modernity and batshit insane fantasy concepts like a country of immortals whose gift started to wane and turned them into zombies, or the world war that involved a local Hitler who transformed into stealth bombers and advanced technology by an age. It has a similar setup: a normal dude gets dragged into a world of supernatural, realizes that he cannot avoid fighting and progressively becomes more experienced and jaded, eventually turning into an incredible combatant.
>>288756314As a Bugle Call enjoyer, don't listent to this guy >>288762126Choujin X may try to appear somewhat deeper than an average battle shonen, but it's still style over substance trope ridden generic shonen with uninteresting battles and half-baked power system, which works on the author's whim and creates dissonance
>>288762315I don't care about power system stuff at all, but I find the story to be very inconsistent. Some parts are godlike while others are in my opinion pretty weak. I also don't like that it gives me overly superhero vibes sometimes. The art is equally inconsistent, with amazing moments at home in any OPT or absurd CGI objects.
>>288762384>>288762315>>288762126i already read choujin x until the latest chapter at the time which was when the general dude in the tower revived into some dark souls beast or something iirc. I thought it was okay, I didnt really get parts of the story because they kinda felt rushed(could be better if you read it as it came out though im guessing) and how the story seemingly skipped over stuff(like the mc being away in a country at war but its barely shown, its just a cheap timeskip), but I really loved the 2 main girls because of their designs, characters and how sexy they were and acted.I think ill pick it up again once its finished, i do that all the time with manga like when boys abyss was running
>>288762611The Boys Abyss threads were too fun. Cora will avenge Sensei.
>>288738336Hopefully Miyo's manga is next.
where is new chapter?
>>288763471There's still like a month left, maybe more I don't know
>>288762684why can't i have a girl like sensei im actually really pretty too
>>288763442This is the manga I'd recommend the most to people who liked Bugle Call. It doesn't really resemble it that much, but it's such a good story.
>>288755727>It's literally the best "shounen" on the marketdefinitely not, that would be kagurabachi.
>>288738336>>288738381Too bad it'll be shit like every adaption. Anyways new chapter when?
>>288761524>it's honestly the best of the threenah
>>288761813holy fuck what is this copium, even if you ignore the awfulness of the village, and the author himself tries, everything after is a pale imitation of the earlier peaks of the manga
