Just finished this. Somehow didn't hear about it despite being a riderfag myself, but came across it while reading some archived threads on desu. I really enjoyed it, and you could see the passion for showa era Kamen Rider put into it, I think my only real complain would be how sometimes the show seems to focus on more mundane stuff rather than the main plotline (the whole Shocker world domination thing), so even though it's 24 episodes long, you barely see any progress in this regard. However, some of these "filler" episodes are actually fun so I don't mind much (the fat idol one was great kek). Tojima's autism was also fun to watch, he sort of reminds me of Laios from DunMeshi (would they be friends?). So, what does /a/ think about it? I'm waiting for the second season. There will be a second one, r-right...?

A real treat to watch week to week. I don't know what it is, but there's just something about toku-adjacent anime that always has this extra spark of passion to it. *Always*. This, red ranger isekai, symphogear, etc. Its a weirdly consistent quality indicator.

We genuinely don't know where they came from and what their relationship is with Kamen Rider shows. At this point it seems to be a toss up between "Shocker was always real, and Kamen Rider was an attempt to warn people about them by putting the word out in a form of television that Shocker didn't pay enough attention to in order to stop it ahead of time. Shocker is real but the character of Kamen Rider was always a work of fiction because the story needed a protagonist" and "Kamen Rider started as a show, and a kamen rider autist created Shocker in the real world in order to create the conditions that would force a true Kamen Rider to arise as well to oppose them."But we just don't know.
