Feel like yuri mangaka have been putting out a lot of these inferiority complex oneshots lately. Naoko still isn't quite back in her groove though, and when compared to Aisaki Utau or Sasuke's masterpieces hers fell a bit flat. Should've put a little more into the mc reading the heroine's novel and her impressions of it. I would've also liked a little more sexual tension.

So Kuwabaraheads, what is our opinion on Mona? I feel like the final revelation that Naoimom and Naoistepdad are constabtly fighting and hope having a baby will magically fix things heavily supports the absolutely least flattering interpretation: That she's terrified of having to take on Naoi's role of protecting her little sibling and wants her back to do it for her. Her asking Kurumi to stay because she mistakenly thought she'd support Naoi moving in with them also shows she's manipulative. If Naoi takes after their dad maybe Mona takes after their mom.
