The really irritating thing about Kubo is that faced with a character losing viewer interest he just fucking gives up on them and creates two new ones which will also be abandoned. He doesn't find other things for Kon or Tatsuki to do, they just disappear except for brief cameos. And Chad just fades into the background and has like 10 speaking lines in the fullbringer arc that Kubo says was Chad's arc. It's a battle manga, just give people powerups and redesigns. Hell, some characters could have just gone through the chain of fate gamble to get soul reaper powers.

I'd say it's the fact that it's dragged out as fuck, the last chapters look like shit made with ink shortage, and the best arc and the best characters are basically heavily inspired by another manga (Saint Seiya), except they are somehow worse than an oldass shonen series from 1980s which has never had great writing.
