The girls counter the baddies. The baddies are redeemed, except for the big bad, who calls them weak. Big bad tries to cheat, gets BTFO. The matter is settled and girls get some deserved R&R. Finish up with a fan service episode.The biggest problem with the show is that it tries to adapt Volume 1 with limited source material into a 12 episode. But Volume 1 is boring and doesn't get good until chapter 3. Also the depiction of Sensei was bland as white bread. He is too straight and too clean. He lacks the sharp wit of his character. He's part teacher, part investigator, and a sort of pseudo paramilitary leader. But he is also an otaku, likes collecting toys, and likes cavorting with scantily clad or themed outfits like swimsuits, maid dresses, school uniforms, and combat suits (so sexy or so cool). There's no grand introduction sequence, he's just simply there to save the school club from a bunch of generic goons and corrupt corpos. Also no Wakamo. The prologue was good as a hook and helped established the setting as well as introducing us to the somewhat chaotic vibe of Kivotos as an Academy City with so many guns it would give the director of the ATF cardiac arrest. A shot of a street in flames with its provocateur, Wakamo standing atop a flaming delivery truck, pulling down her mask to bat her pretty eyes at Sensei would have been an arousing sight to see.
I played Volume 1 myself and was shocked they thought it would be a fine story, let alone be the next big thing.
We just need a decent adaptation of the millennium chapter, or Trinity vs Arius
