What was your reaction when reading through a manga and suddenly came to an abrupt end? Consumed by rage? Filled with confusion? Drown in disbelief and denial? Perhaps, plagued with uncontrollable laughter at the absurdity.

Nevertheless, come. Relive, share with others, or experience for yourself the first time some of these short lived (maybe justifiably so) creations.
Make valuable lessons be learnt. And never forget, the true ending was the friends we read questionably sourced Japanese cartoon drawings on a handicraft forum with along the way.

Comedy? Or reality...?

>Niito Nemuko, nicknamed Neeko, is 23 years old and still unable to find a job. This is her everyday life as she struggles with the fact that she's basically just a NEET.

Do neets feel this manga?
>>
>>288768384
I was NEET only for a year at 19 and I stayed at home and watched anime 24/7. I kinda related to this manga
I also learned programming microcontrollers and designing electronics during this time, which led to employment though

Very much so. It does a good job at capturing the feeling that you know you need to get a job, but you so deeply do not want to. Whether it be anxiety, forgetfulness, laziness, or just a general desire not to work; yet still knowing that you can't put it off forever. Spending hours and hours achieving great things in video games, then getting a knock on the door from a family member who's back from work and remembering how little you've done IRL. Having a hard time talking to your peers because they all have careers and relationships while you have nothing to talk about. Your family trying to be supportive because they really do care about you, which only makes you feel worse. You feel like a leech, abusing the love of your parents. Needing money and having to ask your parents. And yet, it never feels as awful as starting work does.

Getting a job is like having a gangrenous arm that you need to cut off. You know that you HAVE to do it. It is impossible to keep things as they are. You know you'll probably be better off when it's done. You know that ignoring it won't fix anything. But you really really REALLY don't want to fucking do it. Getting it cut off doesn't feel like a triumph, it feels like trading one set of horrors for another. I have a really bad habit of only working for a few months, then quitting to be a NEET once I have enough savings. I need to stop because I know that having a spotty work history is going to stop me from getting better jobs in the future. But working drives me to existential crisis

So yeah, I really like this manga. It does good at capturing the NEET feel
>>
>>288768795
Are there any anime or manga that you feel do a bad job at capturing that feeling?
>>
>>288769037
Yes, but I tend not to remember anime/manga that I dislike. The previous manga from this chain was accurate, but I didn't like it because the MC was so unlikable. It's not just that it felt too real, but from a storytelling perspective you need the MC to be at least somewhat likeable. Otherwise, you have the problem the last manga had where I was rooting against the MC, but the structure of the story required that she never go back to school. So the reading experience overall wasn't as enjoyable as, say, Tomoko or Neeko.
I'll make a list of manga I did like when I get back from work, because I have to go literally right now and am delaying to make this post

Couldn't disagree more if i wanted to, not because you're wrong about any of it but because from that normalfaggot perspective things are so cloudy and obfuscated that when a neet/former neet or just about anyone without a clear solid foundation approaches it this is how it turns out to look like.
>Having a hard time talking to your peers because they all have careers and relationships while you have nothing to talk about
Couldn't be further from the truth, the very few peers and people my age i see nowadays are utterly seeped into their roles of quiet, mundane, shackled and hopeless life, they have nothing to talk about and no life in them basically. There's nothing more tedius than having to even look at their dreaful faces let alone pull words out of their mouth.
>Your family trying to be supportive because they really do care about you
Your family absolutely doesn't care at all about you, neither do your friends you hung out with and that's a 100% fact, First of all raising a child and loving a child are two different things and if you're at that point in your life and you haven't realized that your parents did neither then i have nothing else to say. Also your beloved friends never even cared about you to link you up, come around and encourage you and shelter you so you can step on your feet, this is another 100% straight up fact.
>Needing money and having to ask your parents
Prodigal son? I thought they taught that in literature class...anyway who cares.
I wholeheartedly implore you to fix your mindset and way of thinking today. One step would be to start arguing both sides always, just for the extra perspective.
You know how many parents will say they love their kids while chasing them out of the house, humiliating them, neglecting them and never teaching them how to chop onions or park right? You can guess.
Watched the NHK recently and if you haven't watch it, it's going to make your blood boil multiple times.

Sometimes it does and I can easily relate with her, I had trouble talking with strangers or just negative thoughts about being incapable of doing a work for example.
Also I feel that I had a small depression. It didn't help my parents saying I'm a useless piece of shit and I will be a miserable my entire life.
