It's not the first time the characters think of a strategy that fails, but from the failure they find the way to defeat the user.-Dragona doesn't heal, she slides the wound. In the fight against Charming Man she slides the 7mm wound from the neck. For the rest, well, the neck is for the most of it hollow in the center (and also maybe the knife missed the vitals) so removing the wound saved Dragona's life- As for Usagi's leg, yeah, surely Dr. Roberts will save him- Matte Kusadasai exploding batteries shouldn't damage the stand because when the defective gun exploded into Ningbo face Usagi didn't suffer any damage.

This part does a pretty good job making everyone in the gang feel useful and having their moments to shine. You wouldn't expect Dragona or Usagi to be anything but supporters given their stands and what their abilities are, but they manage to use them in creative ways to help take out the enemy.
