Yurako's determination
Thanks for reading! I loved this chapter. Yurako goes from being reassured by Shiranui's trustworthiness, to immediately breaking that trust herself, to cowering meekly from an enemy she can't hope to match, to Mao finally coming to her rescue like she's always wanted. Just great stuff. This is why she's my favorite character in the series.
i rewatched ep.10 on my tv before watching ep.11 (i first saw 10 on my laptop) and i realized somethingisn't "creepy guy is staring at me" something you tell your boyfriend? why did sana specifically warn mao about mokuzu? did she warn hyakka too? because if mokuzu staring was after the meeting, then sana would've already known about mao's situationbut if it was before the meeting, and let's say she told daigo, then could that be how daigo realized there was a byoki around so that when he saw haimaru stop that curse it clicked?

I didn't participate in the storytime threads so I don't know if anyone already put a theory like this forward, but what if the master isn't just a guy from the Heian era? If he knows how to body hop by transfering his soul, then it's possible his own soul is possessed by an even older master who used the koketsu spell to determine his next host body. It could've been going on since the creation of the Goko clan.

Clearly Daigo wasn't in on it since he only figured it out recently, and the only other person involved in the soul transfer was Byouki, who seems generally in the dark about the master's death, and would probably have preferred to squeeze the knowledge for undoing the spell out of the soul directly rather than waste close to a millennium on reassembling Daigo so that they could finish the deathmatch.
