If Nika essentially is taking Luffy over in Gear 5, he just has to become so strong that he can rely on his own strength be a top tier like his grandpa Garp regardless of fruits, so the fruit adds to his power rather than taking over.I'm thinking the secret function of his hybrid form is that he needs fire fist style haki that he himself learned (passed down through the Monkey family, like Garp's galaxy impact) combined with the Nika clouds, to create TRUE sun energy. I believe that will be his Gear 6. Basically everything he's ever learned in one form.

Like Emet being named after, well, Emet, and being a literal Golem. Christianity isn't prevalent in One Piece, you just recognize the references to it over other religions because you're familiar with it.

No one got it all right, but a lot of the ideas were accurate to some extrent.
